Simons. analogy is ridiculous. To suggest that Chelsea has reached a level with Poch and that then they are looking for an untried manager is banal. If your looking for Poch to take you to a level then it would be logical to then to improve on that level you need another manager that will ensure you improve on that. Not to then go for an Ipswich or Leicester manager. Effin ridiculous.

I really wish people would stop perpetuating the narrative that Chelsea have only been good the last 5 games of the season and that's when they turned the corner. You don't get to wembley twice and be unlucky to win a cup and the chance of an FA cup final against Man Utd, whilst being the 4th most inform team in the league since December because of the last 5 games. Performances and results have been better than the media have portrayed since Christmas with a handful of blips. The league table doesn't lie.

Chelsea are literally the youngest side in the entire league. They have a ton of young talent and they have been going through growing pains. It took the likes of Sir Alex, Klopp, and Arteta years to build their teams into champions level sides. The new ownership at Chelsea appears to lack patience and perspective big time. Going from 12th on 44 points to 6th on 63 points in one season is a massive improvement. simon is rarely wrong but this is as much as poch wanting out as the club forcing this change. theres a musical chairs in play , klopp left , de zerbe left, tuchel isn’t staying at bayern , a lot of movement in thrones, and the man united manager may yet be up for grabs. i’m confident we will work out why this happened soon. what i don’t understand is why an ambitious club only wants a young manager. how does that align with getting the onfield success and winning mentality the club says it wants. shall we give the job to me? blimey

There may be a silver-lining for Poch. Before Chelsea, he had a few stints that didn't go as well as had been hoped. He brought Chelsea out of a dive, levelled the plane and slowly began to gain altitude again. At the start of the season, I don't think anyone, apart from perhaps the owners, expected Chelsea to get to the top group. So Poch can make a difference. Whoever comes in next has to, at the very least, maintain the progress made and then raise the club further up the standings. If that doesn't happen, the onus lies squarely on the owners themselves.

Mr jordan is really making sense today....And he is very positive...He actually understand the message. We True Blues are not emotional at all...we are supporting the owners. The bigger pictures is not short term performance like we did lately. We need identity and a coach who can give that going forward in which i beleive just like the owners...And that coach isnt POCH. He cant deliever....His performance isnt assuring and not sustainable. POCH IS NEVER MADE FOR US...He was a legend of mid table or top 4 aspiring teams and that is not what we are @ CHELSEA. WE ARE WINNERS and THE PRIDE OF LONDON. Goodluck to poch anyway.

Stuart and winstanley are the problem. They're scouts who've been given the keys to the castle and royally messed it up. Overspent on potential whilst getting rid of anyone they hadn't signed. Got rid of proven managers and want upcoming coaches they can control.
My only question is who's idea was it to play cuch as inverted full back? If it was poch then he had to stay. If it was the directors then I give them a break. Because they've bought in all these players and they're largely improving, but the question is whether it was poch improving them and finding ways to use them, or if the directors were telling him, hey we signed this guy because he's good at doing this can you please use him as such...
Personally I would think it was all poch and he should've stayed and the directors should've been fired. They messed up with Emma Hayes too don't forget.
The biggest problem is that Stuart and winstanley are probably just puppets for Eghbali and he can't be fired unfortunately.
I disagree with Jordan though. Think this was at least 50-50. Poch had concerns. I think they wanted to control his training and coaches, not just the transfers, so he left. He wants players to be fit, so training might be intense, which may lead to injuries. We also did ok at set pieces, especially at the end of the season. He wasn't pleased that they got cuevas to come in for next season as the set piece specialist.
But that's the thing, if you take transfers, training, set pieces and coaching staff decisions away from the manager, what are they doing? Just having to manage a match day team they haven't prepared? And then take all the blame and answer the press. Like no manager would want that job even if Chelsea were top 2 or 3, let alone 6th.
But it's the same idiotic mentality of bringing in a bunch of 20 year olds and expecting them to do well. On paper it sounds good, but shows that none of the higher ups have any clue about running a football team in reality. Please someone buy them out and sack the board
