Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal.... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

FYI - the Kummelweck, also called a "Beef on Weck", is a roast beef sandwich from western NY, Buffalo area to be specific. Its name is based on the roll, the Kummelweck roll, which traditionally is topped with kosher salt and caraway seeds. They are so delicious, and it is really cool that you can get one on a cruise ship!

Dinner time question: what was your least favorite ship and why
I don’t have one as I’ve never been on one
The Bismarck because I never got to sail on it.
Margaritaville. Drinks were horrible. I don’t drink but my husband does, they were watered down and were very expensive. The ship smelled horrible. Think public restroom that was the smell everywhere. Sodas were expensive, you can get a drink package for either soft drinks or alcoholic beverages but it was a rip off. It’s a new cruise line, they bought really old 80s ships and it’s the cheapest cruise you can buy. Food was ok but more expensive than what it should’ve been.

Ok I’m literally so glad I stumbled on your video because those cruise hacks from your parents are going to be so helpful for our cruise in t-17 days. Those magnets on the door are amazing, my 4 & 2 year olds are going to love putting them on our cabin, and that clothes line with the hooks is genius. I went and bought them off Amazon. Amazing!
I loved Royal Caribbeans home port in Miami. It's so pretty!! The suite looks amazing!!! The bungee cord hack in genius!! We use the hooks but run out of space!

We must think alike! I watched your royal suite video because my sisters and I were in that same suite. Today I just saw yall were in a loft suite and we just had the crown loft suite on our last cruise (except it was on the allure). We previously had done an upgrade to our casino cruise too....thats really the way to go. Congrats on the great royal up bid!

We have stayed in the Crown Loft 3 different times. It was fun to watch your initial reaction to the Suite because we were the same way our first time. I was talking to the screen trying to tell you how to raise the TV screen. I hope you enjoyed the suite as much as we do.

Last year on Wonder, we had some rough seas (couldn’t dock at cocoa cay)
So we were able to stream Netflix onto our cabin tv, through our phones.
It was great, we just ordered room service and watch Jane the Virgin!!

We had a Crown Loft suite on Oasis when it was new. It spoiled us for all our future cruises. We never figured out how to raise they TV in the loft ceiling. Love your videos!!!

Do you feel like you can make full use of your suite perks when your traveling companions are in a different class? Years ago we sailed on Princess in a suite with family members in regular balconies, and I feel like we missed out on a lot because we didn't want them to feel excluded.

The Perfect Storm is a book and movie about a storm off the New England coast - where a fishing boat and crew got caught up in 3 different storms which converged on the same place of the New England coast.

Symphony is beautiful! I have sailed on all of the Oasis class ships, except for Allure. Excited to sail on her in July, on the President’s Cruise because I want to experience the restaurants and the venues, no longer on the other ships. Enjoy! 🛳

We were not taking our 17 year old daughter but we felt guilty leaving her home so we surprised her with that very same card and on the inside we wrote that she was coming on the cruise with us! 🎉😊
that roast beef sandwich is usually known as a roast beef on Kimmelwick bun. It's a big thing in Buffalo and northern states. Roast beef on a Kimmelwick roll with gravy. You are right for loving it.. it's an incredible sandwich!

The Perfect Storm is a movie based on the loss of a fishing boat. From Mass. So , all aboard were lost and you can find a Monument to them in Massachusetts. Actually a famous movie. Very sad.

Thanks to Brian I had to watch Danny's Crown Loft review on Harmony. It looks like the loft only clears his head by 3 or 4 inches! If there was a step up into the downstairs bathroom he'd be all done.

"Prior to curtain" is correct. That means when curtains open. "Curtain Call" is when all the actors come out to bow and they close the curtain for the last time. Hence "Curtain Call"

I just booked freedom of the seas for April and we got a suite! So excited! I have never sailed on Royal before. How does the embarkation time work for concierge? Do you check in 45 days ahead of time or is an arrival time just assigned to you?
