- On 15 September 1984, Prince Harry was born at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London. ITN's cameras caught his father, Prince Charles, Prince of Wales arriving with Prince William at the hospital where Diana had been in labour for nine hours before giving birth. Shortly after Prince William, second-in-line to the throne, was introduced to his younger brother, he was taken home to Kensington Palace, waving to the press as he went. Soon after, Diana, Princess of Wales appeared on the steps of the Lindo Wing, standing beside her husband and cradling her newborn son, Henry Charles Albert David Windsor.
Charles and Diana's appearance with baby Harry on the steps of the hospital represented a tradition of Royals posing for press cameras outside the hospital with their newborn child. It is a tradition that Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, broke with when their first child, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, was born. In the Netflix series Harry & Meghan, the Sussexes described how their breaking with that particular tradition caused controversy with the press and the Palace.
Despite the very public breakdown of the relationship between Harry, his brother, William and his father, King Charles III, it was revealed last month that Prince Harry will attend his father's coronation in London on 6 May 2023. The same announcement by Buckingham Palace stated that Meghan will stay in California with the Sussexes' children, Archie and Lilibet.

The man has been on magazine/newspaper covers literally from the day he was born. Princess Diana came out on the steps of the hospital in her red and white outfit 9 hrs after he was born. Since then, we've, I'm American, him grow up on magazine/newspaper covers, on the news, interviews,etc. We saw him going to school, on vacation, running around,at polo, etc, from the day of his birth. There have been documentaries about him. It was a ridiculous statement. Billions of people watch Princess Diana's funeral. They saw the boys walking behind her casket. It was on every channel here. His mother's death was on every channel for at least a week. She was the most photographed person in the world. At least 15 yrs AFTER her death, she was still People magazine's #1 cover person, in numbers. She's older than William, so she was in her late teens when Diana died, so she would have seen her, you know that woman was reading People, Us, etc. Diana made numerous high-profile trips to America in the yrs before she died. Her dress auction was everywhere.

@abbatrouble Oh, you're looking WAY ahead from when they got married. The problem here was created by Charles, who was 32 years old and was driven by selfish motives to PROPOSE and marry Diana. He needed an heir and didn't want to lose his place in the line of succession. No one knew better than he and his 34 year old mistress what their own intentions were. He should have never proposed WITHOUT LOVING Diana and ALL while having an AFFAIR with a MARRIED Camilla, who had TWO KIDS of her own. Had he never proposed to Diana, nothing that came LATER would have ever happened, and we would not be here talking about Diana's marriage to him. He should have just kept his little affair with the married side chick and had ZERO business involving Diana in their mess.

Diana also was "encouraged" to marry the Prince of Wales because it would elevate the status and position of her and her family. He was the most eligible bachelor in the country if not the world but Diana was the one who did the chasing. She set her sights on marrying him, She HATED country life, horses and the outdoors but pretended to like what he liked to catch him. As soon as she married she showed that he was a city girl who loved to party. She even bragged to her sister about her "catch." In a recorded interview with her official biographer she admitted that Charles was never with Camilla after he married UNTIL he found out about her affair with Hewitt and went back to Camilla.

The mistress was accepting gifts from Charlie, who insisted on personally handing them to her one day before he married Diana. The mistress was in the picture. Those two should have continued the circus they had and should have never involved Diana. It doesn't matter what Diana wanted or didn't want, liked or didn't like, preferred or didn't prefer. Charlie still needed an heir and he loved the mistress. Diana or someone else, he was going to do the same exact thing to whomever he could. Diana is irrelevant here. End of story.

You are one of many who were manipulated by Diana's PR people. Charles, as a Royal, was never able to respond to her lies about him but the truth about her has slowly but surely been steadily emerging. She told about her many affairs to her official biographer but panicked when she realized that the lady was going to use those recorded interviews. She then went to Andrew Morton and picked him to write the fairy tales she fed him but lied and said that she had nothing to do with his book. that lie has also been proven to be untrue.

@@abbatroubleI've heard other versions of the relationship between Charles and Diana and people, as they only hear her version, imagine that she was a victim of that relationship, but in fact it was a relationship that was only good in the beginning and then they realized that they didn't match at all.

Diana and Charles were informally separated in 1986 after Charles discovered Diana was involved and in love with her bodyguard. Charles and Diana officially separated in 1992. Why blame Camilla almost ten years after their informal separation and three years after their official separation? I suspect Diana wanted public support and sympathy. Diana was exceptionally good at using the public media to her advantage.
Bottom line, the marriage was a mistake. They were not compatible. Their relationship became increasingly toxic, and both were miserable by 1985. Being unfaithful wasn't their biggest problem. Have you heard of the War of the Wales? The toxicity continued until the divorce. They made peace after the divorce.

However there were rumors that Charles was not Harry's father. There is a rumor that Diana had an affair with Henry Hebert, Earl of Pembroke, in 1983. Plus, Diana lied, she led Charles to believe Harry was going to be a girl.

She suffered from depression, low self-esteem, and self-destructive behaviors including bulimia before she met Charles. Charles was sympathetic at first but became irritated and disgusted by Diana's bulimia and other self-destructive behaviors. Especially since she refused professional help. Charles had a number of doctors see Diana trying to help. In 1981, Sir John Batten, the queen's physician, believed Diana had borderline personality disorder (BPD). BPD is thought to be caused by childhood trauma and genetic factors. Batten was concerned that Diana's children could inherit the genetic factors. Diana was traumatized by her parents toxic marriage and divorce. Their relationship became increasingly toxic and both were miserable by 1985. They were not compatible and the marriage was a mistake.

This matches Charles's 1994 confession that his marriage was irretrievably broken down, and that's when he renewed his intimate relationship with Camilla in 1986.

just search photos of Harry and Hewitt, their faces are very very similar, but Harry doesnt look like Charles at all. So it is not only because of the red hair.
