I also sit on a stool in the kitchen when I've got to push through. I also have a rolling garden seat so I don't have to bend over and can get everything done without multiple breaks. Just saying, there are things that conditioning won't fix. Fyi: I work at a school and get 9000-12,000 steps in a day including stairs, carrying a 20lb+ bag & books.
To your point about health, what about the fact that a lot of the foods you'd want to stockpile are full of preservatives and generally unhealthy processed foods? But I guess in a survival situation you need the calories however you can get them. I keep telling myself I'm going to start a garden every time spring rolls around, then summer suddenly ends with nothing planted at all.

So true. I just cut out all soda and sugars and I dropped 7lbs in three days. The first day was hell but I’m already feeling the benefits. I know the weight loss isn’t going to keep melting away but it’s a great feeling so far.
What was the ball you were using. You were throwing it up near the barn and catching it on the way down? Looks too small to be a medicine ball.
51 my job is walking and I skateboard at least 2hrs a day
IMO Jason is right with his God & he does talk about it but this video is a message to all of us regardless of any relationship with a higher power. He might say (not putting words in his mouth) in the process of getting stronger, especially when doing outside one might form or strength that higher power relationship.
Jason, very nice video.
Re: protein, what did you think of eggs & cheese? 2 of my favs for protein, along with salmon.
im getting ready tis last storm/flood scared me im tring to afford a small solar generator so i can have heat /light/ phone
How do you approach working out in the rain?
Problem with pasta is that you need tons of water...You can survive a long time without a lot of food but not water.
Naval Special Warfare, wow!! Did you work in & around Pentagon/DC?
Howabout: Plant food trees in your community or pay others to do that and you will have community, food, food security, and healthy food, healthy exercise that produces things for your family and community for decades.
That doesn't work everywhere for year round food. Up north fruit trees only bear fruit a few months.
@@brookeb7994 What? Up north in the cold areas they are often the well prepared for all seasons of their food...of course-- knowing food storage, food security, sustainability over centuries in community.
If you don't do that maybe you can pay for some in CSA to grow food for you and teach you.
The stores NEVER grew your food.
Try chair Pilate.!
When covid hit I started preps. I bought 750 cans. 3,000.00. To go with rice and beans. There all long expired now. Cause I don't eat can food. But I learned and now prep freeze dried 25 year shelf life. Buy it once. Forget about it. Mountain house
Or buy what you eat and just rotate it, like a deep pantry.
They are probably still good to eat though.
@@evinwhiteson4902 you might find a food bank type situation or vet/homeless group might still accept the canned goods. Or just sit on street with a free sign. The exercise taking them to curb will count 😄
It's amazing how people will do anything to avoid exercise. You can literally do a 12 minute HIIT workout and exponentially gain better conditioning. Add a little bit of strength training and your body will be transformed. Sooooo littlenis required. Do it. Do it now. You will thank me
Just as an addendum, for people that are not aware of whst it takes to be a Division 1 Strength Coach or work w/the SEAL teams, it is quite a bit. JASON knows what he is talking about....git'r done!!!!
Thanks so much for that!
Protein powder is key should the shit hit the fan having protein powder is essential. Also knowing that the body needs to be healthy tiniest want you to be aware there are people with chronic autoimmune conditions that limits their ability to exercise. But I agree it is vital to optimize yourself as much as you can no matter your condition.

I like your channel, but I have to disagree on this. IMHO, the most important thing is your relationship with God. After that, fitness and strength would be next. Keep up the good work.
Your body is your temple
