Very nice. In my opinion adds quite a bit of safety over compared to the use of wall jacks. I really like the fact that once the wall is vertical it gives plenty to flexibility to plumb the wall without it falling over to the outside. Thanks
Just the kinda thing I was looking for. A small thing - your loop knot in the rope (trucker's hitch) can be made to be a slipknot like a taut line hitch with the excess so as the wall goes up, you can merely slide the knot up the rope instead of actually re-tying the knot. The trusses are next and we get the idea how you did it. Thank you so much, great work.
Good idea! I put the trusses up in the pouring rain and I broke my camera mount when i was setting up. For the trusses, I transformed the base of the rig by putting four wheels on the bottom. I would bring 2-3 trusses up at a time and roll the whole thing back, drop the trusses upside down on the top plate and so on. This project ended up being 2 stories and I had it dried in on December 10th and did the electrical over the winter. We are completely off grid here.
No. That type of winch is not designed for vertical loads because there is no internal brake. Get the type of winch designed for the task. The hoisting winches do cost more but still under $100 ea for a 1000lb model.
Awesome that makes me feel good. I should have recorded putting up the trusses. I made a new base for that and reinforced it. I do have pictures. I put up a 16 foot tall and 16 foot long with that no problem.
Good grief, what the hell is the purpose of the obnoxious jingle? Halfway through I couldn’t take any more and exited😵💫😵💫😵💫. As I do all similar videos.
You might want to change the name of your channel! Do you have any idea of how many Gregory king's there are. Type it in the search as that is how most look for channels. No friends, music might explain why! I only found it because of the subject I was looking for.

That looks like some sort of execution device.

I can help you with that also. . . Just turn the volume all the way down. You could also play your own soundtrack in the background.

Did you get your wall raised?
Good idea.....terrible video. Pretty bad music, too!!!
Worst soundtrack ever. Almost makes a legitimately helpful video unwatchable. 🙁
I apologize I do not specialize in video production. I am a professional tinkerer
@@gking0887 I ignored the music and gladly received the extremely useful knowledge
I have no friends! This video is for me!
