- 'I always gets so closety at these family things.' Andrew Garfield is Prior Walter and James McArdle is Louis Ironson in Tony Kushner's world famous two-part play about the AIDS crisis in New York, Angels in America. Both parts of the play are now streaming worldwide: www.ntathome.com/
Life and death, love and sex, heaven and hell. This is America in the mid-1980s. Amid the AIDS crisis and a conservative Reagan administration, six New Yorkers with interconnected lives grapple with their existence.
This multi-award-winning production of Angels in America at the National Theatre is directed by Marianne Elliott, with a cast including Andrew Garfield, Nathan Lane, Denise Gough and Russell Tovey.

James McArdle never got the praise he deserved for this performance
He was so good!
I love him as Louis!
its a gift to have this performance on film. i highly recommend it to anyone! saw them on broadway at the end of their run and the piece was as relevant as when it was written.
Do u know where to find the whole play?
@@icamxxx5723 sorry, i dont know any other links than the ones shared above in the description
@@icamxxx5723 go the the website link and you can 'rent' it to watch for 3 days for $14.95. You can take a monthly sub $18.95 and presumably binge too ;)
@@icamxxx5723 Look up Zharia Montgomery’s channel:)
Sony is too scared to put Tom Hardy and Andrew Garfield on the same room, cause Tom might accidentally fall from the top of the building and become the first Spider-Man’s-Boyfriend-Fall-scene.
It would be soo fun to see them together!!!
Why tom hardy tho?

Andrew Garfield is a national treasure and we must protect him all cost

I love Andrew’s facial expressions, such a great actor
1:45 prime example lol
my favorite thing is when actors who work their entire lives to build up their careers and work on their craft get their magnificent performances chalked up to “good facial expressions” lol (w peace n love lol i understand what you’re saying, this is just a joke)
I remember watching this a few years ago and it’s wonderful to be able to watch it again!
so you are only sharing the intro part of the scene? Uff. Here I was preparing myself for a good weep
Damn, Andrew!😯
I remember seeing this at the National it was wonderful.
I love Andrew Garfield but Christian Borle will forever be my favourite Walter
Is there anywhere to find christians versions I've been looking for ages
So weird this was recommended to me. I’m reading this for school right now.
0:21 the other actor loses composure because andrew’s delivery is AMAZING! 😂 Andrew is a talented actor

@@meganwood251 i am joking

Not good.
Some knob at NT has decided to try and mimic social media language with "are EVERYTHING" in the video title and I hate it, lol.
not a fan of his performance at all
"Are everything"??? Really...an adult titled this video? Keep it professional, guys.
They are trying to make theatre more accessible to people who might not be interested in the first place. It’s a youtube video not an essay, the title should get people interested, not gate-keep something that’s meant to be fun. I think they did a good job too, because we’re both watching it. What would you title the video?
@@MoonBrisco They could have named it way better while still being catchy. Andrew and James are everything in Angels in America? Nathan Lane is in this play for Pete's sake.
Sounds like you just aren't hip to the times, homie.
(memes aside, yeah, saying "they are everything", is a proper statement for modern convo, you're just old prob)
@@DrJones20 -- You can't point fingers while writing, "[...] named it way better [...]." WAY better? Really? What are you, a bored surfer or verbally challenged skateboarder?
@@eme.261 What's wrong with way better?
Milking those laugh lines way too much :-/
