We have seen a lot of aging rockers these days, those singers, who can't hit their high notes anymore. But this guy still can! Glenn Hughes was such a big force in Deep Purple with his bass playing and singing. His voice especially in "Burn" really does burn! IMHO, he's highly underrated when it comes to belting out tunes.
Really incredible sounding heavy hitting blues based hard rock. This is what we need more of in our lives. Joe Bonamassa and Glenn Hughes rule playing this song together.
His live stuff from Burning Japan Live is excellent when he toured with a Swedish band, that included John Levén and Mic Michaeli from Europe. Great work.
Glenn Hughes was one of the hardest working members of Deep Purple, great voice and a brilliant and innovative bassist. And he's still out there working his guts out, and sounding great!
OMFG, what a version. Saw Glenn a few weeks ago in Hudson Falls and that was awesome, but this is on another level😱Thanks so much for the fantastic quality, beautiful job👏
AMAZING saw GLENN here in CT. 5 or 6 years ago ? tiny club like 200 people. WHEN he starting singing mistreated I thought the roof was coming down. The Place went FFFFFF NUTZZZZZZ thank yuo for these videos.
It's almost surreal that Glenn can still hit those extreme high notes 50 years later and arguably sings better than ever, while every other rock vocal hero from the 70's struggle to sing their songs in the same key, even when they don't have any excessive soprano stuff in them.
Loving Ed Roth’s Keyboards. Great chords underneath Joe’s guitar at the start and throughout with the classic Fender Rhodes type keys surfacing at the right times.
I know it is weird I have only known about Glen for maybe 10 years now, but the man is one of my favorite performers and I would guess a really fun guy to hang out with. I would love to share a stage with him.
I get blown away every time I hear Glenn hitting those high notes… and right in key! He’s got 10 years on me, I never smoked, but I know my voice couldn’t shred like that now, despite being a trained vocalist for several years (I stopped singing and doing my vocal exercises after having a serious mountain bike accident). This is so inspirational for me to start practicing and singing again!!
Years back I thought that Joe doesn't bring emotions when he plays but after record with Beth Hart I changed my mind the man is one of the best guitarists in the world today
I hope that this is a sign of "Black Country Communion" is getting back together. I heard rumors. They are definitely one of the greatest and most talented rock bands that ever were. A super group. I just hope that if it happens Glenn doesn't let his ego get in the way. He has a habit of trying to out do everyone else in the band. He walked all over Joe's leads with bass leads. Don't get me wrong , he is an amazing vocalist and bass player. For his age he is phenomenal.
If I remember right Bonamassa said that he knew what kind of music his dad liked and that is who his fans liked too. He also said he had no problem catering to them.
In this song ,the voice is important ! There are many quitarists who can play popcorn and solos !So in my opinion DIO was the best ! Anyway he is among the top 3 rock vocalists of all time !🤘❤

Wow! I’m blown away, you took the words right out of my mouth. Truly amazing.
Glenn Hughes is one of the greatest rock singers- ever. It's miraculous that he's still performing at the level he is.
The new Black Country Communion album can't come soon enough. These two gents on stage are the real deal
Is there a reunion of BCC scheduled for 2024 ???
@@samibouhadida5314 Yep !!!! Maybe 2025 IDK but for sure
Really incredible sounding heavy hitting blues based hard rock. This is what we need more of in our lives.
Joe Bonamassa and Glenn Hughes rule playing this song together.
Dude in his 70’s and still hitting those highs 😮
72 años 🎼🎤
And jam'n on those lows
i know right quite inspirational
Glenn looks like he's in his late 40's, dude.
@@rambleon2838 yeah he must be reading those Crowley books🙉
I was there last night at the saban theater in L A, Cali
Love glen Hughes , awesome show! Loved it!
Deserves to be on a live record. Up there with the best live performances I’ve heard. Way cool
His live stuff from Burning Japan Live is excellent when he toured with a Swedish band, that included John Levén and Mic Michaeli from Europe. Great work.
How is this even possible ??? 🤯 respect level went through the roof 💥🔥
Glenn Hughes was one of the hardest working members of Deep Purple, great voice and a brilliant and innovative bassist. And he's still out there working his guts out, and sounding great!
Been a trapeze /glenn hughes fan since 1970,he's still an almighty force.... Just can't stop the man🤷♂️👍👍😁
OMFG, what a version. Saw Glenn a few weeks ago in Hudson Falls and that was awesome, but this is on another level😱Thanks so much for the fantastic quality, beautiful job👏
I was there and Poughkeepsie🤘❤️Glenn!!!

Joe playing Tommy Bolin's sunburst is a nice touch.
whow, Glenn Hughes and Bonamassa with the Tommy Bolin Les Paul. Great 🤩
Awesome cover and performance! Cheers to Glenn and Joe for doing such a great job! Simply fantastic! Cheers!
Especially privileged to overhear that conversation at 7:36 - 8:20. Seemed private, but it was meant for us! Loved listening in! ❤
Я балдею,что есть такая передача, как Ваша! Глубокое уважение к Вам! (Серёга из ТТ).
Folks…it don’t get no better than that!!
And THANKS for the SPECTACULAR video..looks/sounds AMAZING 🔥🤘
Бывает лучше, бывает...
Glenn Huges is a true rock god, hurling thunderbolts and cracking the sky wide open!
the true Stormbringer..lol
I was blown away back 1974 when I saw this guy at Cal Jam with Purple.
It's almost surreal that Glenn can still hit those extreme high notes 50 years later and arguably sings better than ever, while every other rock vocal hero from the 70's struggle to sing their songs in the same key, even when they don't have any excessive soprano stuff in them.
Not "every other rock vocal hero". Paul Rodgers voice still sounds EXACTLY like it does on his recordings. So does Sammy Hagar. Just to name a couple.
better than ever no... he was lot better in DP old times, but he's still great rocker on bass and vocals.
@@peach495 We seen the Scorpions a couple of years ago. And I'm here to tell ya that Klaus Mien is still one of the best alive!
Úžasné spojení dvou fenomenalnich muzikantů, děkuji a klanim se až k zemi děkuji, Skvělý výkon, paráda Tony Heep, Czech republik
Glenn Hughes Was The First Singer To Land On The Moon. 😇
Unbelievable version all around. Bringing the Fire!!!
WOW! Sensational, both of you!
Well done. Love you guys.
What a voice!
Respect Mr Hughes.
Got tix for Glenn in Clearwater for Feb. Then a month later again in Clearwater. Joe Bonomassa.
Two of my Biggest Favs. Thanks for posting! SOOOOO good.

An immense inspiration to all of us rockers....

Saw him last night. Didn’t know the name of this song…been searching for this and found it. He is amazing. Thank you so much for posting this song.
You can listen to this underrated song with Coverdale , Glenn or Ronnie James Dio in rainbow .
@@betocapano9515 Underrated song ? I think not. it's legendary
@@cbxade Oh yeah ! That's not what I meant ! Underrated as not recognized as a great song of deep purple .

Bonamassa is great but CJam74 and fantastic playing by Ritchie is on another level
Great performance! Joe killed it !
that is one of the world greatest ever rock vocalists hands down.
I'm sure Joe is playing Tommy Bolin's Les Paul. Nice touch, Joe.

Glenn Hughes is 72 years old. Apart from his brilliant bass playing, who else can keep up with that vocally? 😎
Эхо из прошлого воплощается в настоящее !!! Это прекрасно !
Thanks for the footage. I was behind you.
What a great Voice👍👍
What a beast of a singer Glenn is. Hitting those high notes effortless
sublime and full of power
Muchas gracias Glenn. Me has llegado al corazón. Sabes gritar desde lo más profundo del alma.

Awesome!
Love concert,legend guitarist 🙏🍀❤️👌🎼🎵🎶🎤🥁🎹✌️🍂🍁
Black country communion with Joe, Derek and Bonham's son is the destination to return to. I think it was Glenn's most brilliant project in the past.❤
Wait till 2024 Haggar will be on the road with Satriani and Bonam!!
@@MrIgorek13 Yes but that is a Van Halen tribute. Glenn was brilliant with Derek, Bonham jr. and Joe.
GREATEST ARTISTS!!!
glenn's vocals are bloody awesome!!!
One word - AWESOME
No one comes close to Ritchie Blackmore with RJD / Rainbow That was perfection
Glenn is awesome.
The band they formed and still play as is called Black Country Communion. Fricking awesome
Hell man. Glenn still got those awesome lungs. When a young man I couldn't get that high. Brilliant.

Glenn, Dio, Coverdale, Gilan, deixaram seus legados na história da música do Deep Purple.
Freaking Great!!
I had to go back 3-4 times and listen to that high note at 5:11. Incredible, not just for an old man, but for any man.
Blues in the Hills... new hit show!
ooooooo best version
Jesus! Enjoy this while we have it. Ain't gonna be around much longer.
Joe with the Tommy Bolin 59 Les Paul. We will see BOC again soon.
