Since you asked, here's a quick crash course!
Dinoking and the Dinoforce are essentially Japan's take on the Pretender Monsters and their combined mode Monstructor (probably best known from the IDW comics).
These guys never actually transformed between bot and dino modes in the Victory show, rather their robot modes would "Trans-Out" of their Pretender shells. For obvious reasons Legacy figure prioritized the look of the bot and combiner modes over what was originally a totally different piece, but thankfully Goryu ("Grimlock") and Rairyu ("Sludge") got to keep a little of their dino modes' head dressing.
The team each used to have only a handgun, the one belonging to Kakuryu ("Slag") being Dinoking's default. Originally Doryu ("Snarl") and Rairyu carried Dinoking's feet and leg connectors on the sides of their shells, and the huge scythe is an anime original and one I'm damn happy they brought over to this new toy.
So glad to see someone love this set as much as I do. Can't wait to see it with a new kit!

yea this video made me wanna get him.
i have no attatchment to dino king, so im probably gonna use him as my Nexus Prime standin.
i just love legion combiners and like the idee off the first combiner being composed off multible ancient creatures
hell be shipped march next year for me, so fingers crossed DNA comes out with their upgrade kit before than.
probably gonna model some wings myself when the time comes.
