I mean, they care a lot about service, so would you say the prefer "social" activities, such as volunteering and social projects, or they also care about "academic" extracurriculars like scientific research and stuff. Also, the "diversity" part always gets me. They want you to show how diverse you are and how you contribute with this diversity on campus, but what do they exactly mean about diversity? They prefer cultural diversity or something like this? what would you say? Also, when you say the applicants are reviewed by their specific colleges, thats the same to international students? or only the international admissions review international students application?
"my everyday life with an economist monk" is my essay topic for common app. monk + curiosity+ resilience/peace+ leadership i chose it because i'm volunteering in iskcon, and my mentor there is a monk who was previously an economist/banker. i've learned a lot from him. should i write about this? also, please give me tips for my essay.
