    Hello
This is the first time i get in touch with someone who have crocodiles as pet, im really considering to have one but obviously is not an easy decision,
I hve investigate a lot about them and you belong to the small group of people who have them so close, i have some questions that im sure you will have all the experience and knowledge for answer them properly
Ihve seen the dog harness of fovian and i remember you use to have trips with him, are you able to remove the harness freely? I mean, without any aggressive reaction?
Do they let you get close enough for pet them now that they are bigger? That is because in some interviews you are actually hugging them, is it possible for you to do it now?
I can see that each one of them have their own space and area, but also I hve notice they have become more defensive with their own space, in the scenario that you share the same house, have you ever feel in danger or expose to an attack even in your own house?
The last one ist more an opinion, at this point i only help in a park in cozumel (mexico) with the crocodiles, i have never had one as pet, but during my investigations i could see that alligators are more paceful that crocodiles when they are pets, what do you think about it?
Thats so far some questions, I really admire all your devotion and hard work to help this species that has been misunderstood, i personally think that they are not aggressive, they just react to thing, but i lack of experience by knowing them living so close human lifestyle. I really appreciate if could share with me this information. Thank you!

Hi Lina Paola Rivera, thank you for your comment & questions & compliments (which i appreciate very much).
Firstly, I apologize for my delay in responding to your comment. Unfortunately, i don't get much time to read the comments on here & have only just read yours now.
I personally don't recommend keeping crocs as pets, unless you are absolutely passionate about them, like I am. Crocs are a specialist animal to keep, requiring a lot of attention, time & dedication to care for.
I am pleased to hear you have done a lot of investigations into the care of crocs.....& I'd advise you to keep on researching about the care of them, especially housing, water quality, temperatures, diet etc.
      Now to answer your questions:
The Croc I walk with a harness is actually Johnie (my female freshwater croc), but Fovian (a male) also wears a harness on occasions too. And neither of them show any aggressive reactions when I put on & take off the harnesses.
Yes, they both allow me to get close to them when they are out of the water.......their water is their space which i respect. And yes, both allow me to cuddle them whilst I am holding them, however, Johnie is quieter than Fovian & also double his age, so allows me to pet her etc. Fovian is still a little defensive, but quietening down as he ages.
They both share the house amicably with me......they know it's shared territory & respect that with me. P have never felt threatened or in danger with Johnie & Fovian as they are only small freshwater crocodiles. However, they can inflict a nasty bite when they want to & always for a justifiable reason.
and to answer your last question, yes, American Alligators are way more placid than our freshwater & saltwater crocodiles here in Australia.
i hope this bit of info helps you.
      Cheers, Vicki :)

This is animal cruelty. they need to be in the wild. and you need to see that it is ludacris to keep a wild and dangerous animal, that you are obviously scared of, in your house. Jesus fucking christ. if i were your neighbour i would have them out of there so fast. you clearly like them and that is heart warming but think a step further please.
