I kept mine original, drove it for 30k miles and sold it for 1.5k more than I bought it 3 years later with more miles. I was super cheap, found 4 oem wheels with good tyres and sold mine with worn tyres for net zero cost. changed the oil and filter myself, did the valve adjustment myself, changed the gearbox, diff and every other fluids and oil which probably cost a total £200 in parts. Refurbished headlights myself. Brake callipers replaced with 4 used ones for £100 and then sold my crusty ones for about the same then changed the pads myself, total cost £100 genuine Honda parts. The only major cost was an alignment which cost £150 and another £50 on fixing the drop links. I took it to the track and there is no way I am skilled enough to need any upgrades! It's fast enough, brakes are good with oem and tyres and factory suspension have plenty of grip with a fast street alignment.
Looks better than new Lam. I sold my 08 ISF last month and now planning to pick up a RCF may be a Supra will see. I am leaning more towards the 15 RCF than Supra so far.

USD10k? That's good money. In my country (Malaysia) the cheapest AP1 is around USD40k. Bone stock reconditioned new AP1 from Japan will cost around USD 45k.... That's 2008-2012 R35 money here. AP2? never seen one for sale.

that falls more under maintenance in my opinion cause he would have bought new tires sooner or later even if he stayed with the stock wheels. If your going to list tires then might as well list all the fluids filters and gaskets you changed too.
spend money on car isn't worth it because most cars aren't assets so you're loosing. but then agian it makes the owner happy so it depends on it you can afford to do it. Supercharge next ??
