I am but I'm not .. during deployment people show their true colors and will do anything to get out. But that's only the cowards that intentionally create problems. I've served with man and women whom have been passed over promotion because of their sexual preferences. But these Brave Soldiers never gave up and persevered to become Captains, Doctors, work as CEO of UA-cam ect ...but all in all if you served one day abroad your a Veteran and they all deserve benefits...

This is well said. One can look at it briefly and get the endorphins from a humanizing and just act.
However, as you were alluding to, my mind keeps going to the possible individual stories.
What happened to the intelligent, competent, quick rising soldier who was being looked at for a big promotion. Another soldier had a subtle knowledge of him being gay. So, the soldier got evidence of him having a relationship with another man. The gay soldier got sent home with nothing. The other soldier now had a clear path to that promotion. He retired years later, with a trophy room of honors, and has a nice big house in the country.
I wanna hear the stories.
