Paying for rookies that are priced in to be a HOF type player never ages well lol. Only place they have to go is down as they're priced so high out the gate. So very risky
I agree, however I think what you’re missing is that most people don’t hold onto those cards as long term investments, they flip them quickly, or grade them then flip
@@pensacolapackbuster4514 Yes, but flipping, is also, in line with trying to time the market which is extremely difficult...you could profit, but are just as or more likely imo to be left holding the bag

Yeah if you put in 5K into Mahomes back in 2017, you would be really happy...can't say the same though for people who invested heavy in QB's like, Baker Mayfield, Derek Carr, Sam Darnold (case in point you gave one away for free)...most QB ''hyped'' prospects don't make it big, if someone, is great at prospecting, so be it. For most people I wouldn't recommend it, but that's just my opinion.

Prices are inflated due to location. Thiesman is a legend in the DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia), it would be more difficult I think to get that amount of money, anywhere else.

Do you ever invest in baseball? Maybe I just never see it. I invested in a few high end Yordan Alvarez, Wander Franco, Ohtani and a few others and 3x my money in 2 weeks and was able to keep the best of each for my P.C.
When it comes to baseball I stay away from panini products and invest in Topps Rookies only. I take my profits and put them in Vintage graded.

@@ACD1994 definitely man but if it’s a fun rip then modern is the way to go plus you don’t have to worry about reprint like with evolving skys. Vintage will definitely keep its value but look at it this way what is someone willing to pay for it. That determines value

I would never bet on a washington QB.. they are the worst.. washington chews up and spits out QB’s for the last 20 years…. my best Redskins QB card is the Sonny Jergenson Rookie card and he was an eagle in that card for his first year rookie… lol…. question… what is the best every overall redskins card there is ? its hard to answer…. :)
