  • I finally decided to locate and fix creaks and rattles in my BMW. Unfortunatelly my M2 suffered from multiple source noises since I purchased it. Luckily I managed to fix them!

    Ah man, I wish I hadn’t watched this now. I’ve not noticed any creaking while driving. I probably will now 😂

      😂 I lived with it too long. Made such a difference to drive it and not hearing it and trying to ignore it!

      @@MDrives it’s always good when it’s a fairly easy fix. Hopefully the other ones are easy enough to fix as well.

    2017 BMW 330xi, I took everything aprt and applied felt soft tape and fixed all interior rattles, All means everything including trim, console, doors, door sills, door weather seals, under seats, all side pillars, rear seats, all dome lights, read deck shelf, rear bottom seat, AC vents, steering wheel column cover, inside door panels, all clips, in trunk, side skirts and side skirts mounts, inside passenger side wheel arch where the windshield fluid tank, inside under seat subwoofers, glove box and under glove box tray where you have cabin filter,a lso outside black shadow trim, rear AC vents and armrest etc etc lol hahaha😄

      @@MDrives also, I noticed side skirts mount brackets rattles as well, that also contributes to rattles, you want to replace them and secure new one and add this felt tape and make sure they don't rattle when playing loud music with heavy bass.

    Fixing creaks and rattles in German vehicles is a never ending battle that only ends in frustration and unhappiness. My solution has shifted from trying to remedy the issues to driving fast with loud music and the windows down. It's the only viable solution..

    My M140i has a rattle in the door handle area, parcel shelf rattle, passenger seat rattle, cluster rattle, door seal squeaks. Meanwhile my 18 year old Audi doesn't have a single rattle lol.

    my e82 1er has a good bit of random creaks lol I've just accepted it

    • @MDrives
      @MDrives  2 роки тому

      I think I would accept a random creak but the ones in my video were present every time. Unfortunately I’m using my car on bumpy B roads with terrible coarse tarmac which vibrates whole car and make these problems appear.

    Hi, I am an 1 series owner with the same interior and I have a creaking sound from the central console aswell. I saw that you have a blue tool to take the carbon pieace off. May I ask where did you buy it ? I wanted to use the same one because I am afraid of breaking it

    • @MDrives
      @MDrives  2 роки тому

      Hi. Just search for “trim removal kit”. There is plenty of them on eBay or Amazon for about £8-10

  • @PoltergeistWorks
    @PoltergeistWorks 9 місяців тому

    I hear great things about Liqui Moly SILIKON Spray, it's actually made to remove these sounds and smells good so no harsh smells in the car even if you spray every gap with it :) Honestly the manufacturers could solve this issue with some natural thick grease, a thin coat applied over the parts before install. I see however how this could be an issue for assembly. There is also many types of foam coatings that could be applied in contact areas. Definately can be solved in manufacturing but nobody seems to do it :( The last good cars were the ones where everything was attached with SCREWS, not plastic tabs :(

    I got metal rattle from wiper fluid container mount, wrapped it up with some cloth, solved, but come back again after about 2 years, then I repeat the solution. Recently I got rattle from glove box, haven't solved yet, still looking for a solution.
