Ripped by myself from a very shoddy source, though the mix in itself was pretty terrible to begin with. - Розваги

Not only is this audiobook a Godesend to follow along with for homework assignments but I find the old, dated audio to be very pleasing to the ears as well. The low fidelity, the scratches in the audio, and the narrators voice altogether are SOOOO soothing.
That was immediately what I thought as well! Apparently I'm three years behind lol but I agree. I think that is why I found myself wanting to actually read the play
I had learned this too in college. It was a sweet ol lady professor named Chris Towers that showed us the glass menagerie. this play changed my life, changed my perspective on life and how i also saw old times and how beautiful they were. She was so in love with poetry and her heart was amazing. She made me appreciate education and literacy in a sense. I sure miss her every single day when i go to school. I wish every professor could have the passion she had for reading
What a wonderful rendition of this play! Bravo!

"He is the long delayed but always expected something we live for" Such a beautiful poetic line.
50 years ago, as a teen, I treasured listening to this double-LP checked out of the public library. It’s wonderful to hear it again! 💚
This narrator is giving me major Twilight Zone vibes. Also thank you so much for this audio! I’m a college student with ADD and I cannot for the life of me read 36 pages of this play with the stage directions lol.
The audio quality is beautiful it felt like I was right there.
Tom . . . Thank you for posting this (LP) recording. This 'two record set' was my introduction to Tennessee Williams and THE GLASS MENAGERIE back in the late 60's when I was a student in high school. I fell in love with both Tennessee's work and this recording, and I just always assumed the recording was only available to teachers for use in the classroom. Much to my surprise, years later, at Harvard, I found the boxed recording in their campus store. I still have those "records" but have never been able to have them re-mastered onto a c.d. So again, thank you for this. What a joy to be listening to all four of these extraordinary actors. (As an aside, many years later, one evening at the Paris Movie Theatre in NYC, I sat across the aisle from Jessica Tandy while viewing A ROOM WITH A VIEW. We walked up the aisle together at its conclusion, and I politely introduced myself, and told her about my introduction to THE GLASS MENAGERIE and the part she played in my love for this masterpiece. She smiled and thanked me sincerely for sharing that with her.)
Over the years, I have seen at least six productions of this play
but this audio version, with those four wonderful voices, is
supremely satisfying!
This was my go-to while studying theatre at SUNY Purchase in 1980. Beautiful and lyric, passionate and so sad...
Thank you so much for uploading this! I'm listening this audiobook to prepare my mid-term exam :)

Shoutout to Scranton Prep summer reading... this sucks.
😆
I’m 3 minutes in and it’s strayed from my book completely. She’s supposed to be talking about eating, not church.
😆
At least the acting is natural
