Thanks Colin for another great year of videos. You are one of the very few "must watch" channels that I subscribe to - never miss an episode. The Revstar RSS02T was a great choice for guitar of the year - and I'm glad you chose it - it really shows you rate your gear based on merit and not overly influenced by hype/big names. I bought that exact model as a random punt - never bought a Yamaha electric before - and was stunned how good it is. From "random punt" to "will never sell". Absolutely flawless guitar - somehow a great mix of traditional look with a slight modern twist on it too. The neck on it is incredible. The P90s on it are brilliant. I really can't imagine that the next-level-up Japan made ones are that much better. Your playing on the Revstar was incredible too. You mentioned you haven't played it much and might sell it - well, if the point of a guitar is to make great sounds, you have a guitar there that, as a tool, sounds (from the playing) like it really works for you. I went back and listened to your excellent playing on it several times - both when I watched the original video and in the recap here.
What a great channel. Stumbled across it looking for reviews of epiphone es's, but ended up down the rabbit hole watching the lot! Absolutely top notch. Still can't decide on a guitar though 😂.
Merry Christmas, Col. great review of the year. The Revstar definitely inspired the great playing! 2024 was the year I bought the same RSS02T, but in Hot Merlot. It’s staying in my stable. Standout qualities for me are: its resonance and comfort (satin neck and well balanced). Love that it has stainless steel frets too. Only change I have in mind is to the tone pots and switching (hi- quality three-way would probably be enough). Looking forward to 2025!

Great video as always Colin and I couldn't agree more on the Revstar standard, I have the humbucker version and it too is just incredible in so many ways. When I haven't played it for a while and go back to it it always blows me away as soon as I just pick it up, there's a feeling of sheer quality to it and then the playability raises its head again and is simply perfect! Thanks for all the videos this year, especially the one in which you told UA-cam to fuck off, had me crying with laughter for ages that one, all the very best! Dan

WoW... What a 'Finale' Yes... Very reasonable 'Pick' for the Yamaha Revstar... and... No doubts that the Gibson '72 sets the Bar at which all others must compete against... BUT... Went back and 'checked' last weeks choices (?) and... My TOP likes overall are the Heritage H150 Ascent (Bolt ON neck) and the Two Squier Brands... Paranormal Troublemaker and Sonic Telecaster... Something for everyone ! Just liked the Tones on these three guitars, which to me (?) sounded individual and to my personal 'taste'... Thanks for a Great year Colin., and you are deserving of the caption "The Man Can Play" ! If you see an old man standing in the rain as you rip along in that Roadster of yours (?) give him a lift and buy him a coffee... Might turn out he may be a Guitarista ! Yup... Friday 17 Jan 2025 ...
