I'd love to see a compilation of all the sounds Chewy makes when he gets bit or is about to. I hope this does not sound cruel but the noises he does makes me giggle =)
I have seen a lot of Asperger's and it must be tough. I'm glad to hear that you keep working on it. Hang in there and don't let people get you down! Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
What a great video!! One of the "best" I've seen in learning to try to read the snakes I've never seen anybody else explain that. Again very well done. Tasha
everyone says green tree pythons are "display animals" but mine is super friendly and loves to watch tv and hang out w me. knock on wood I haven't been bitten yet, which is also strange because he's a rescue and we expected him to be aggressive towards us, due to the obvious physical scarring from his previous owner. this sounds like im bragging, but I wanted to know if anyone else has any super chill and affectionate snakes?
Brain and chewy ... Love the show and the comedy act along with different snakes and pythons ... And hats off two you both for the bites and I think you have a good crew there ... Keep up the good work and education on pythons and others .... Can never get enough info about the pythons and others .... Thank you a million
@CaterpillarGiraffe yeah, they really do pack a punch and they strike so fast that sometimes you don't expect it. I still love them.lol Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
Brian, are the "Green tree Pythons" available for sale through BHB, or another source? That little bugger looks awesome. Availability and price, perhaps?
Thanks for sharing your story. Yeah mine and Chewy's styles are a bit different. But that's why it's so much fun watching him pick up a mean snake.lol Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
I have been looking into getting a Mexican king snake as my beginner snake, could you do a video on decorating the tank for someone that doesn't want as many snakes as yourself?? I don't know what things could harm them or not..
I watch you everyday on UA-cam and i have 5 snakes and you and chewy are awesome. We have a 6 foot boa two ball pythons and a yellow pastel and a pinstripe calico. they are amazing!!!!!! Thanks for being a awesome snake lover like myself
Great video you guys! As for the qotw, I once misread the body language of my neighbor's male german shepherd when I was 6 yrs old. It was being super quiet and giving me a hard stare. I thought it just wanted a chew toy so I came up to give it to him. The dog tackled me and tried to bite me. I never went to that neighbor's house again!
So I've been caring for snakes for about 8 years now. I had a rosy boa and currently still have a ball python. Both I've raised from about 4 months. In the 8 years I've had the two snakes, they've never tried to bite me. I handle them quite frequently. Is this just because they are naturally docile species, or is it just that I'm doing things right? I really am curious if I've just lucked out in not getting bitten...
Ball pythons are one of the most docile snake species in the world, and rosy boas in general have a very sweet, docile nature compared to some other boas (not to say that all other boas are mean, but in comparison rosies are the nicest). So yeah in general they are naturally like that but I'm sure you're doing a great job as well(:
Great video, guys-- very useful for newbies! Sometimes it seems like Chewy is straight-up scared of snakes... and then he comes through, and is the man, once more. Bravo. Misread body language? When I was ~9 years old, I hugged my grandparents' white German shepherd... She grabbed my face; like head-in-dog's-mouth "I could end you in a heartbeat" warning-bite.
Awesome albino blood! Reading a snakes body language takes time, but once you have it down, it's a powerful tool in the hobby. The last time i mesread some body language, I ended up with a 4.5' amazon tree boa hanging from my sweatshirt. lol awesome vids! keep 'em commin!
because of this video i Became more confident to handle my snake again after being bitten. I am working on still getting him out of his tank again. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video as usual guys! I saw someone else mentioned that Hognose snakes are rear-fanged venemous...but wouldn't one have to chew and chew and chew and chew on you to cause any real reaction?
Are all of those boxes heated or something? I can imagine taking each snake out to bask would be tedious considering how many you have. Sorry if this question has been asked already.
My Brazillian Rainbow Boa was really tame and friendly, but I went awayfor a week and now it is very snappy and it's neck is in the 's' position, I got bit a few times and I don't know how to pickit up without him biting me!
In my experience, snakes vary from one to the other, just keeping in contact with your snakes as much as possible helps you to read what they are thinking or what they are about to do, and that can usually help avoid getting bit, but also as Chewy provided an example of what not to do lol, poking at the snake rather than just commiting and picking it up will almost guarantee you will just piss it off more and get bit. You guys should do a video on underated/overlooked snakes Good video Guys!
Came back to watch some old skool SnakebytesTV... R.I.P Brian 😞

Yeah, I got tagged a few times while filming the two shows we shot that day.lol All in fun:) Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
Lol love chewies girly screams when trying to pick up the blood python.
Yeah, I would say that's pretty normal. As long as it lets you hold it that means it's not too upset about it. Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
everyone says green tree pythons are "display animals" but mine is super friendly and loves to watch tv and hang out w me. knock on wood I haven't been bitten yet, which is also strange because he's a rescue and we expected him to be aggressive towards us, due to the obvious physical scarring from his previous owner. this sounds like im bragging, but I wanted to know if anyone else has any super chill and affectionate snakes?
Wow, that is not the response I would have expected either?? Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)

Great video as usual guys! I saw someone else mentioned that Hognose snakes are rear-fanged venemous...but wouldn't one have to chew and chew and chew and chew on you to cause any real reaction?

Awesome video. Wish I would have seen this when I first started keeping snakes!
Are all of those boxes heated or something? I can imagine taking each snake out to bask would be tedious considering how many you have. Sorry if this question has been asked already.
Yes he uses heat tape
Haha, those are awesome picks! lol Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
The song?
Chewy is amazing and so is brian so crazy picking up consrictors
My Brazillian Rainbow Boa was really tame and friendly, but I went awayfor a week and now it is very snappy and it's neck is in the 's' position, I got bit a few times and I don't know how to pickit up without him biting me!
Are all of your chondros like that? Mine is literally tamer than my ball python, and I've seen similar from other GTP owners.

Good video Guys!
