Dang I was gonna buy this ebike , instead I went for a cannondale road bike , almost the same price, I regret it now I should buy the soltera ebike... great review 👏
The yellow is sweet, but i would go black. Frame size, i was considering this bike, glad you covered this. that large frame i now know wouldnt work for me. I add dropper post to all my bikes. Regular size would work best for that. REVO shifter all the way, never been a fan of "triggers." You are spot on about the thumb throttle. Two things i would change after buying, change the throttle to a TWIST grip and add a handlebar riser stem. Love that they gave this a 350w motor and not 250w. This bike looks a lot like my old road bike that i sold to purchase my first Ebike. Well done AVENTON. Thanks for reviewing this Brent!
What’s up, HackHunter! How’s your Wednesday? Thanks for recommending we review this one. It was fun seeing that Citrine color in the wild. :) What kind of road bike did you have? My first one was a Cannondale R400 way back when. :)
Not a big fan of twist grip shifters especially when changing gears a lot...quite tiring on the wrist. Additionally braking while shifting down gears is very awkward indeed...much prefer trigger shifters for sure. I changed out my Gary Fisher MTB wrist shifters for this reason...much better now with trigger shifters. The rest of the bike looks great, but the shifter is a possible deal breaker for me 😧
I would take the step thru, single speed small frame and my 70th b-day is this month, you got that Aventon? This is perfect for Europe, minus the throttle.
Aventon? Are you listening? :) How was your celebration of life, Pedro? Maybe it’s time to gift yourself a new ebike huh? Hope you’re well, my friend it’s great to see you as always.
I bought black because the other colors were sold out. I probably would have bought yellow O/W. I’m about 200 pounds and the bike will stall on any grade steeper than about 10%. I removed the throttle from mine.

You can set the speed cut-off to 25 mph, but the top gear is isn’t practical for anything faster than about 20. That means you’ll be pretty much 100% motor power. It’ll be a short ride. The short wheelbase and narrow tires make the Soltera very nimble. But, it’s not meant to be a speed demon.
I'm 5'11 and as a novice with some bad knees and feet, I wish I has purchased the regular frame. Straddling the bike there is only about 1/2" between the cross tube and my boys. Lol, that's worrisome.
I'm 6'2" but bought the step through because, oddly enough, different color choices! Easier to swing my leg up and over anyway so I don't get the advantage of the step through anyway.
I have been watching your vids for years. They are some of the best. But the new mtv style you are now using for the ride video portion is no good. It might work for teenagers but it is sort of just annoying. Plus I know it is alot of work on your end. Sorry man. It adds nothing to the video.

It's my second Aventon e-bike.
The first one is the Aventon Pace 500.
I bought it around 3 years ago.
I just ordered the aventon soltera 7.
I also ordered it in black.
I like the Citrine. It's a safety thing with me. The color stick out more.
Price cut, they're only $1199 now!

The bike, especially in the yellow color is absolutely gorgeous! Looks like a great value.
R Zu! hey there, buddy. great to see you again. i dig the yellow color too! super groovy.
Jus bought the citrine. Love the color and performance.
I just bought the black one bc I got a good deal on it but I wish I had the yellow
cant decide between this and the Aventon Pace 500!

Exactly what I needed!

Can this be unlocked for 28mph pedal assist?
Not really, actually 28mph on a bicycle is quite dangerous, 20mph is more than enough speed, not even sprinters can go that fast well maybe few
Awesome review!

Stall....can you explain that 🤔
Can you remove the display? I'd like to have the option to mount my phone so I can view GPS directions.
There is room for an iPhone mount next to the display.
Forgot to ask. How does the Avebton soltera 7. Handles the hills
an unlock option to 25mph would be sweet. this feels like a slight upgrade from those $999 ebikes out there
Skeeter! Great to see ya, buddy and yes, a 25 mph option would be awesome. Hope you’re well and having a great day!

20mph is enough speed, some sprinters barely can hit 20mph so just enjoy your bike
Thanks good info.

Which size bike is this one and how tall is the rider/reviewer?
He provides this info in the video.
