Enjoyed watching this. Very helpful, thank you :)
Always happy to help!
Great video! I just purchased one today. I heard the demo at Best Buy and it sounded a lot better than the other 2.1 channel speakers.
Yep, for some reason, Polk managed to have a really good passing between the sub to the mids, meaning that you don't get a huge dip like in most 2.1 systems. Also, the subwoofer has a nice fluid bass :)
Audiophile Heaven what’s better this or the Yamaha yas 209? The Polk is a bit cheaper in price but has same specs..
@@oilerguy5494 Avoid the Yamaha at all costs. They're know to have terrible subwoofer issues. I purchased the YAS-207 6 months ago. Worked fine until today when the subwoofer died and would no longer connect to the main unit .Sucks.
2.1 channel signa2 is better crisp sound and I'm talking the bar
Hi George, I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your videos. I am an audiophile myself and appreciate guys like you out there. Keep up the great work! 👍👌😁
Hi there and thank you very much for your kind words! I'm happy to bring fun content!
Hey how can I hook my sub woofer to the sound bar or tv without me haveing Bluetooth capibilty
The Woofer has its own Bluetooth to the soundbar, you can't not have Bluetooth, it is automatically connected to the soundbar without any other connection. The soundbar can be connected to the TV via Optical or HDMI / HDMI ARC, but you DO NOT NEED to worry about the woofer, that and the bar are connected separately.
hi good day. just wanna ask how to turn off or remove the auto shut off after 15mins of this sound bar?many thanks
Hi there, I think they don't allow for that actually, you could leave something playing at zero volume and it should stop it from happening though
How does compare to the Vizio 2.1 SB3621 system?
I need to check that one, didn't have a chance quite yet... XD
thanks for the thorough review
Always happy to help!
Hey your great! I have signal 2 and I have some problems with it. Every time I shut down the tv (Samsung ru7400 with hdmi cable) and turn off the soundbar Disconnections. And I have to shut down both together and turn off together
Do you know how to fix it?
Thank you for your kind words! Hm, I'm not sure if that can be solved, but if you would be using optical instead of HDMI, it shouldn't happen anymore. Can you try it? Should still have good sonic quality . Be careful to not bent optical cables, or else they may break
@@AudiophileHeaven I will try with optical cable
Hello... great video BTW...Confused between sony hts 350 and Polk signa S2, want a rich movie experience where base doesn't overpower dialogues , but also the base should be responsive while listening to songs .. my living room is 250 sqft.. please guide!!
Hiii
A room that large, 250m2 needs a 5.1 large system, but between the two mentioned, Polk has more power, you should go with it , should provide a better overall experience
Sounds really cool
Thank you !
Hey George i currently have Jbl sv450 a d its absolutely a nightmare to connect. Is the S2 easier? Is it better? Or same level +-
As far as I know, this would be a bit better. It took me just a few seconds to connect, and I experienced zero issues, even though I'm running my computer and TV together, with my TV as my monitor. Where are you having issues with your JBL, and how are you connecting it?
@@AudiophileHeaven hey man thanks for answering!
I have connected it through the hdmi arc to my arc in samsung tv... the tv isnt detecting it do you think we can private chat?
@@sargentzi Sure, you can find audiophile-heaven on Facebook and message us. Aboput the hdmi-arc issue, if the TV isn't detecting it, I fear there's not much you can do. I know that for this Polk Signa S2, my Samsung Q755 is working well with it.
@@sargentzi Assuming ARC is supported on your JBL soundbar, make sure CEC (Samsung calls it "Anynet+") is turned ON in the display's menu. On my Samsung, the setting can be found in General/External Device Manager. I hope that helps!
@@BarryP thanks man i got rid of the jbl :)
Hi. I am from india.
sony hts350 and polk signa s2 which one is good. My room size is 3 x 3 .5 meter. Please suggest me one
Thank you.
I think Polk Signa S2 will do you very well! :)
From Kerala 😂
Thanks I'm also comparing this same brand
a quick question 2020 Bose TV speaker and Polk Audio Signa S2 with subwoofer, same price but which one is better? which one will you prefer....
I would take this over the Bose
@@AudiophileHeaven thank you for the advice I got Samsung’s HW-T650 as it was on sale and same price as Bose TV Speaker
@@asifshauket Ah, I see. I hope it brings lots of fun to you!!
Nice work, bud!
Thank you!!
Nice, France 🙂
I get got it a week ago and my subwoofer keep going in and out when watching movies can somwbody help me out
HM, return and ask for replacement, sounds like the wireless receptor is broken, or the sub is too far from the soundbar and it loses connection
You could try to pair then again, they have a button on the back of the sub
Thank you Brother.... I am just convinced to buy this product.....
That is okay, there are others better, and my role is to review not convince you to buy :) Chek out my other videos until you find someone that sounds like what you need!
Please suggest a soundbar specifically for music in this price range.
Yamaha YAS207, works better, and should be on sale this time, since new versions are coming out. I made a video about it on the channel
@@AudiophileHeaven thanks. YAS- 209 is the new updated model.
How do you reset the soundbar tho?
Did something happen and do you need to reset it? Usually, just plugging it in and out should do it. if there's something that doesn't fix, you can try to feflash the firmware using the USB maintenance port, there should be instructions online on how to do it (?)
@@AudiophileHeaven where do i got for the instructions? And i even polk couldn't help me but i will try that, but are the instructions online?
Great video friend. Very informative. 👍
Thanks a lot!!!

what about a sound test ???
I would love to do that, but recording a sound test with my Zoom X5h would not do much, especially since I don't have a very good room acoustically, my recorder does not pick up much below 50 Hz either, so any sonic test would at most reveal some kind of tonality, but even that would be very different from what you'd hear since you'd be listening to it on a different speaker setup....
I love those kind of tests, but lack the equipment at the moment, will try to get it to be able to help more in future videos!

Romanians seem to be very positive people :-)
Thank you! :)
I can't choose between this and the Denon DHT-S316
I haven't heard the Denon yet, so cannot compare, but I can tell this one is tons of fun, and it does everything it promises to. Has some nifty features, that don't seem to be available on the Denon (?). Looks like the Denon beats the Sony alternatives though, so don't worry, you won't go really wrong with either :)
@@AudiophileHeaven Thanks, on your recommendation I have purchased the Polk Audio Signa S2. Will be our first soundbar so I am excited.
@@imarcemarc I hope it will bring tons of fun to you!!
I’m looking something that can work not only for movies but gaming too! What’s your sincere recommendation?
@@usamasaid2860 Honestly, you could be very happy with the Polk Signa S2, the price / performance ratio is outstanding, there's very little that matches it in that price range. If you have more money, I would recommend going with the Yamaha YAS-207, it is better, louder, and more punchy, but almost 2X the price.
What about the music lovers with this
It is great for those who enjoy music, because it offers good power for a pretty pocket-friendly price!
This is a great soundbar but has two FATAL flaws. First the soundbar goes into standby after 15 minutes if it receives on audio input. This means if you mute your TV for more than that time so you have to grab soundbar remote and turn back on. Second the soundbar will not turn on and off with your television after pairing so again you have to grab the soundbar remote to turn back on. Every other soundbar turns on/off with TV after pairing. Note there are no work-a-rounds for these problems.
Wow, really good info! I actually never noticed those but I am using my TV as a computer monitor so I literally never expected it to work without me activating the remote....
Turns off and on with me Xbox series x just fine, that’s a work around
Zohan is that you ?
That was a really funny movie, I wish my acting was so great :P
@@AudiophileHeaven im just joking , great video man
@@jtjtrs8806 Thanks a lot, and I don't mind it, I'm good with jokes xD
I've been trying to get the wattage specs from Polk Audio and they refuse. They are hiding the true power output of their equipment, probably due to weak numbers and prices out of line with competition. You are most likely getting some 80 watt garbage, tuned well enough to sound good while paying for what other companies give you 200+ watts for. I don't care if it sounds good, keeping general specs hidden from consumers is not what I expect from a trustworthy company.
I really never thought about the Wattage, but the question I would ask you is, are you curious how much it consumes? Because that would depend on what type of amplifier they implemented, and since most soundbars are Class D or more efficient, the power is around 50W at maximum for almost all companies, some could have a 200W PEAK draw for really short periods of time, but it is unlikely that is the power they draw at all times. I also reviewed one soundbar from Yamaha, not keeping anyone's side, but I was thinking you don't have to think about specs too much if it works fine the way it works.
@@AudiophileHeaven Power consumption and power output are separate issues. I am aware of peak vs RMS wattage, and how to use OHMs law to calculate based on power supply if the impedance of the drivers is known. I totally agree that the end result is "does it perform". As a consumer we can use certain measurements to compare across different brands and even different models. For example I believe frequency response is an underrated spec. My biggest issue is that they are choosing to keep the specs of all their Signa series hidden. They have wattage output for almost every other product. Why? Thanks for the nice review, I did enjoy the video
@@adamnorwood8608 Thank you for your kind words, and to answer your question, I have no idea. I didn't get the unit or ever spoke with Polk directly, only their local shop here, so I'm not sure about it, but I would guess they went with something like very efficient amplification, or measured a low output. In practice, it is enough for neighbors to not like your system, but if you have a house, the Yamaha I reviewed recently may sound louder at maximum volume, albeit it is more expensive .
The bar is 40 watts as the sub is also. Specs came in my manual written clearly!!
How does compare to the Vizio 2.1 SB3621 system?
Hi there! I haven't heard that one quite yet but will let you know once I do!
Beltfedshooters The Vizio has more wattage...I do know that.
