I have six plants in my living room and two in my kitchen. All have names and are thriving. Each morning, I open the blinds and say good morning to my plant family. 😁

This is my kind of story. I've always grown houseplants, and right now, I have about 75 in my collection, and I'm certain since 2020 I've spent about 6500 dollars. I can't even imagine my life without plants. Thank you for this story. ❤

I had no interest in houseplants till Covid started and we couldn’t get out. 1 plant led to 2 until I had 50 plants. A year ago we moved to North Carolina from New York and I gave all my plants away. Now I’m starting the process all over again. So far I have 18 plants. I love them and have started my friend plant collecting. She was never a plant person before I showed her how to take care of them.

Hopefully due research is done on any environmental impact should these plants take over natural seed/stem plants. If no negative impact, it is a good initiative

This piece gives the unfamiliarized the impression that plants are more than $1k….. Go to Lowe’s, Safeway, Smart & Final, Lucky’s, or a local grocery-they’re $3-15.

That’s great if you can keep it alive. Sometimes life happens and it can change your priorities. I’ve spent money on plants but have learned to control it. Joining a plant exchange community helps keep costs down too.
Enjoyed the segment on tissue culture. Didn’t know that the seedlings were imported from overseas.

I have a collection of plants that I started during Covid… at a time when everything was dark and deadly… I was able to get something alive to take care of… that could be delivered to my house… they occupied my time and gave me something to care about… my plants keep me company… Vote Blue 💙🇺🇸🗽🇺🇸💙

$18,000 for one plant?! That's insane to me

Selling cuttings from your house plants can get you sued if the plant is registered. It's best to give them away.

Covid got everyone into plants. But i feel like it kind of slowed down now. I don't know where people interests are with plants.

lets do a story on orchids. the hobby has been around for a very long time and people dont realize there are more to orchid than just the moth orchid you see at safeway. there are over 28000 species and even more hybrids
