Comon, do your research. If you live around the Great Lakes, especially around from Lake Ontario, on up to Lake Superior, Freighters on the Great Lakes are called 'Lakers'. And, if you have researched the Gordie Howe Bridge, there are no piers in the water upholding the Bridge. So no, the likely event of that happening is NIL

When will be the last peices ? You have to speed up, otherwise EARTHQUAKE will deviate cantilever system. It has been happen in Indonesia, almost complete, but earthquake......deviate the two cantilever almost closure. Calculating expansion to adjust the closure should be easy.

They are waiting for warmer weather so the steel girders can expand, probably the end of June / 1st of July before they drop the last 85 foot panel into place.
