    Remo's pad is very good, has an excellent rebound, the only negative point in this pad is the noise

      Thanks! My current favourites are Reflexx, Aquarian Super Pad and the larger 14" Moongel pad. Vic Firth is good for the bounce and finger technique.

      Riddim remo almost does. They make a practice pad with the remo silent stroke head. I don’t know how great it is though, and it’s pricey for what it is.

    I have the moongel and its great because it has almost no bounce so you have to work for every stroke. Its a great work out pad to build strength but you probably wont be able to go as fast as you can on the other pads that have more bounce to them

    • @KaitsuDrums
      @KaitsuDrums  Рік тому +4

      @Dalton, I still use Reflexx pad daily and it's working fine and I don't have a problem with flaking. It doesn't affect the feel at all, at least in my opinion.

    • @Javi7Tron
      @Javi7Tron 4 роки тому +6

      Remo ... Orchestral Snare Drummers use Remo Practice Pad, and you can change the tension of the drumhead, remo has a real drumhead. Sabian quiet tone has too much rebound and it’ s easier to play than in a real snare drum.

    I have the same practice pad, but I feel a little
    little air space between the ruber base and
    the back of the drumhead. Iess of 1 mm. It is
    minimal, but that affects some precision strokes
    like press roll. Do you feel the same on your

    pad.

    So the Remo you have chosen it's 8" because of personal choice or it's a better size to practice with, beside the easiest carry on aspect? I'm a total beginner and don't have any idea of which one I should get between the 8" and 10".

    • @KaitsuDrums
      @KaitsuDrums  4 роки тому +2

      Barbara, that Remo pad is my first practice pad and maybe 30 years old :) If you want to have Remo pad I think the size doesn't matter...but it's quite loud...you might want to check out the Remo 08" Practice Pad Silent Stroke which should be lower volume pad. I hope this helped :)

      @@CamiloMoyaBaterista the old version of real feel pad, was built with a very special gum rubber after lot of trial and error. they found a exact balance between feel, rebound, and no damage to the wrists. also the quality of the rubber is awesome. more than 20 years and still like new. new pads are made with a blend of chemical silicones with poor quality and excessive rebound.
