I worked for a place that sold professional ones made in Europe and they're high capacity but quite seriously loud. And like $350. I saw the reviews on these at 400 reviews averaging 4.8 out of 5. Apparently they're constantly out of stock but I found one after searching the stores in stock on the kmart website.
Hey congrats on finding one - yeah normally sold out pretty quick. That's insane about how expensive pro ones are. We've got 3 now, one gets used weekly, one gets used three times a day, one is a backup, none have ever failed. I tell you what though, this one is QUIET compared to the rest.
I have seen these little hand turned bud grinders that dont make much noise at all if thats what you want to grind, or dried parsley as well. I thought these things would over grind the green stuff, but be fine for coffee. I have a grinder with the adjustable burrs in it, but it was way more than $17.
Yeah I've seen those "puck" shaped ones in the local tobbacconist. Now that we seem pretty close to weed being legal in AU I'm trying to be a bit more aware, but for me it's just coffee, and sometimes chillies (but hold your breath... literally hah)
@@platima @Platima Cooks Yes those puck things with prices from cheap to expensive. Actually I hope it does become legal or similar to the ACT. Chilli coffee would be interesting.
@steviebboy69 yeah look at the taxes California has made - legal at a federal level would probably be a game changer for a number of reasons, including health benefits for some people too. Hence doctors already prescribing it even in WA even if you cannot obtain it. Such an odd state of affairs right now! I'd honestly say that booze should be illegal instead, but don't they dare take my beers off me 😂
@@platima One good thing they have over there is this farm bill thing and you get this 0.3% hemp vapes and edibles and the like. be good to even get those, good compromise between going to the street stuff and going medical. I think years ago you couldnt even make ya own home brew beer or wine here.

Hey it doesn't have a grind setting, just depends how long you grind it for. I've used it plenty of times for my moka pot though! Actually I usually give it a few quick grinds, not one long one, to get a fluffier consistency. I hope that helps!
I use mine at 4:20 pm every day and it satisfies my needs perfectly. 10/10 would recommend.

Yeah so it definitely grinds it. LOUD too. But not into powder - almost, but it leaves a lot of larger sand-sized particles too
