You'll hit 160 if you brace the box up and put a pole in next to the subs and the roof right at the front seats. You can see the box flexxing with the reflection off the sub's magnets.
Hello, I'm looking for some help here. I am getting 2 zv6 15s on a salt 8k but I don't understand how hot to design a good 6th order that will do haritricks etc. would love some help here!
@@potatojake197 finally got it finished around mid fall so I haven’t really played with it too much tho spring I’ll be swapping out the bas 15k’s for 2 JP83’s
Can you tell me a little bit more about a slide in? I would like to honestly get one if all you're doing is sliding in the box and sealing off the extra bits
Sick ass system bro !! Windy af!! Hey Bro I got a salt 8 on 3 18xv3s d2 in a Yukon xl and 80ah yinlongs and a mechman 370 for them and it’s not hittin like my 3 Us on 2 salt 4s strapped idk
I’d rather be low 20-28 hz then loud. I know that song it nice and low the highs are not very clean in that song though but I have my highs in a knob as well so I can adjust bass and highs whenever
So what happens in a sixth order when there's no loading wall? Does that make the rear tuning stronger or does it change the bandwidth or how does that affect the sound and frequency response?
I'd be curious to hear what he says. I'm gonna guess your not going to get the boost at what the second port would normally give you. So less output in the 40's range.
@@BARBELLS-AND-BUDS I believe if I'm not mistaken the loading wall slightly lowers the tuning on the rear, so the tuning is probably slightly higher with no loading wall
You generally build up the loading wall one board at a time until you get optimal port area, then determine length based on that, and your desired tuning. But this build has no loading wall, and actually lost on the meter when we added boards. So not sure what too tuning would be, but it's doing 157+ and floats shirts from 17 to 40hz
Takes $$ to get a good single 15. Save up it’ll be worth it and find a custom sub builder and break away from brands. It’s all China made and or parts from China anyway
@@patrickbennett439 Imo I'dv100% go with sundown if it were me. Even the x series in insane. But I've seen zvx builds that crush, so really just about your budget
Low frequencies do not damage hearing nearly as easily as higher frequencies do. Using a weed whacker or mowing without hearing protection is much worse then this is. This is mostly air pressure
After this vid we fixed the voltage issues and did a 157+ at 29! This build is a monster!
I can tell
What was the issues you corrected my man?
Below 30 hertz is where bass lives IMO.
This is killing!
Nice build. Had furr like tht in my build. Took it out and gained almost a full db
He took it back out pretty quick lol
I just got my Second ZV6 18 tonight! Awesome build yall!

definitely going for a build like this as my next set up.

This is the DJR version, so better sinewaves then original. And his build is still hitting 157+, so still loud for sure!
I doing a CPillar wall that's gonna be tuned to 27 or 28 I'm hoping it's gonna sound good
Is there any advantage to mounting the subs near the front of the enclosure? I assumed mounting them in the rear, near the ports, would be best.
No advantage at all, he just had no width it looks like. But yeah generally keep the subs away from that front port , much better loading
What is this box “called” term pro shows 6th order having there own ports. Not a port inside a port know what I mean. Or just still go by what it says
Dammmm, my brain was shaking from just watch it...NICE...How will the salt 8k do on my Team v3 12 inch fi subs do think???
Just curious what air space you gave them upper and lower. My wall is already built and wondering how the zv6s would do in it.

What airspace and port area do you recommend for 2 18s in a 6th
Depends on the 18s, the power being fed to them, and your goals. There is no straight forward answer to thisb
