When I was a goth teen in the 90s I was mature enough to admit that I figured this is a band I would out grow. I'm a completely different woman now, fierce business woman manager who wears a suit everyday and no one would guess her favorite band is Cradle of Filth. I would like to add that one of the best ways I find to experience this band is first read the lyrics without the music. Every song and album tells a story and Dani has a way with words so it can take a bit to see the picture. Once you do listen to it with lyrics and it comes alive. There is no other way for me to describe it and I've never found another band that quite does this how CoF does.
I tend to agree. But the band back then and now are sort of two different band. Both sound and genre wise. But i like them both. There is only two albums i do not like of all their albums. Damnation and a day. ( mostly because of the terrible sound on that album ) and then their pop album thornygraphy. All the other albums i all listen to in between other stuff i like to listen to. The reason we do not see many reactions to the old stuff, i believe is mostly because there is no real video to those songs. I also tend to not look at reactions with no music video in them. So that have a less audience overall i think.
If you're enjoying that type of music you just have to listen to the studio record "Midian" back from the year 2000, surely one of the best album releases the world has ever seen... and some classics like "Tearing The Veil From Grace", "Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids", "Heartbreak & Seance" & "Funeral In Carpathia"

The best era of COF were the first three albums that, inexplicably, rarely anyone reacted to... Unbelievable!
