Are you sure ? I think you mix it up with "Pas le temps de vivre", THIS song is dedicated to her younger brother Jean-Loup, who died in 1996, Rêver was written in 1995.
"rêver" is not at all dedicaced to her brother ! The album Anamorphosée was released 1 year before her brother's accident.
It is very emotional indeed but because the song is a universal message to mankind hoping that love and tolerance will defeat hate.
"pas le temps de vivre" is dedicaced to her brother, as well as the tour 96 DVD .

I saw her twice LIVE. Once in 2009 in Douai and I saw that show with Rêver on september 10 , 2013 in Bercy. I will never forget the experience. Mylene does not tour out of Europe so I had to fly from Canada to France to see her the two times. ( I had a dream, we love each other

I actually love how respectful she is towards her audience and vice versa. Like, especially in between the lines of slow songs, everyone's screaming how much we love her, yet when she starts the next verse, everyone just goes silent and truly listens. And just how gentle Mylene is with her audience, truly beautiful. I would suggest also maybe "Les mots" from her 2006 show in Bercy. Thank you for the reaction 💙
Exactly, when she isn’t saying anything and in between lines people talk but as soon as she opens her mouth it’s either fully silent or everyone singing along, no other sounds. And it doesn’t even matter if it’s a space of 80k or 27k people, it’ll be the same nonetheless since the respect we have for her and she has for us is something unbreakable.

Bah non. La meilleure c'est celle de 2009 (Stade de France) avec juste Yvan Cassar au piano et son anniversaire fêté par le public à la fin ("Vous vous rendez compte que j'ai 80 000 invités pour mon anniversaire ; c'est absurde !")

This is one of her most favourite live songs and an absolute fan favourite... and one of MY favourite ballads from Mylene... well, besides some others, like Ainsi soit je, Nous souviendrons nous, Point de suture, Avant que l'ombre... just to name a few. :-) You want to see Mylene getting REALLY emotional ? Then watch "Pas le temps de vivre" or "Dernier sourire" from her Mylenium Tour. Also "L'horloge" from the 2019 tour is a breathtaking finale, you've never seen anything like this before, believe me.

I feel like with rêver a lot of the live versions are a bit similar yet beautiful in their own way so it’s hard to even determine the best, it really comes up to how much melody you like, do you like the happy birthday wish at the end of the 2009 ver etc.. it’s an incredibly beautiful song, but that’s true for most of her ballads
