2009 is one of her more ‘simple’ intros (and even this one isn’t simple & is very dramatic aha) & this shows well what crowd control she has, before she even comes on stage. I’m taking about the crowd clapping when the intro had just started.. all 82k people there were clapping

Imagine what the people there felt like.. yes Mylene is loved by hundreds of thousands, even millions actually. Those fans in the front has probably camped outside the stadium for a week just to get to that front row, just to see her. So imagine the bliss they felt when they entered..
Also, yes it can be a bit of a jump scare when you watch this intro for the first time since you’re not expecting that ‘bang’ at all

I attended those two nights. 160.000 spectators. One of her fans’ favorite tours. She was at her best (she still is). Costumes, setlist, choreographies, everything was on point. Please react to « Coming from the vortex / Interstellaires » and also to the 2019 version of « L’horloge »
Yes I’d say that 99, 2009 are the biggest fan favourites (from what I’ve gathered), I didn’t count 2006 since that technically wasn’t a tour.. anyway yes the set list, costumes, everything about of 2009 is perfect. It’s a fan favourite for a reason haha
I actually say this is my least favorite tour of all tours since 1999. It just doesn't have this big entrance and other very expensive effects that 1999/2000, 2006, 2013, 2019 or even 1995 have. So I wonder why many say this is the biggest fan favorite. If you really count away 2006/2019 because they are not tours, 1999 and 2013 still would be more favorable for most my guess is. But I would always count 2006 and 2019, because for a concert visitor it does not matter, if the show is moving to another location next day or not (of course she can do more, if she stays, but still the fan comes to see her and listen to her music primary, and both of these do not change).

I first heard Mylene on TV in a hotel in Paris in 1996, next day I went to Tower Records and asked if they had a CD after being told by the sales clerk how to pronounce her name I bought2 CD's. Since then I listen to her almost daily the main attraction also to attend her show is I wanted to be with her fans, I have been to many concerts by other groups and have never experienced what you will feel at her show, we are a family and Mylene is a gracious and amazing artist to adore.
The lyrics are beautiful! I translated them with an application so I hope it's right.

my interpretation:
She is in "the sheets of chrysanthemums" For me she speaks of a tomb. The chrysanthemums are the flowers that surround her (her sheets). The dawn can't light her because she is underground. She hears the requiem (prayers for the dead). In her granite bed (her grave) she thinks about her life. The things she loved and then we get to the worst for she "boredom".
For me in the refrain we understand that she was in a coma (artificial paradise). She asks to let her die if we really love her (for the love of me). To let her "lie down under the moon". In the end she says, either you die because you are mortal or it is your family that unplugs the machines that keep her alive (die because you love her).
She is in her grave or in a hospital bed and she sees the world around her fading away. She feels that she is dying. She will no longer read or speak. She will be in "the sheets of darkness" Death. The epitaph (inscription on the grave) will show her sadness. For even if she is at peace to leave (go to her paradise) she leaves her life.

You should definitely see her last concert that was in 2019, watch the intro “Coming from the Vortex + Interstellaires” she is still one of the most popular and powerful artist, and believe or not she is 59 years old
For the crying you talked about when she descended, yes I know what you feel. For me, and I am not an emotional or sensitive person at all (I cry like a few times a year max), this entry made me tear up and has made me cry too. It’s somehow really high in energy & somehow you adapt the mind of a fan, like you missed her, like a goddess has descended, like you’re ‘home’ so that’s what makes you tear up? At least it was like that for me :)

@Ambrose Cynthia This Mylène Farmer concert was recorded on her birthday. She gets so emotional, she goes to tears, it's my favorite of her shows. It would be nice if you could react to the Ballads act "Point de Suture" "Nous souviendrons-nous" "Rêver" "Ainsi soit je..." "Interlude: Avant que l'ombre..." complete, it is such a great emotion, indescribable, she several times cries the audience singing Happy Birthday to her.
