- Learning painless trigger point release, or at least applying techniques that minimize and cause very little pain, is very important.
Like everything worthwhile, this requires a little bit of patience, and plenty of practice.

I did not know this.
Do not apply too much pressure. I thought that I need to press really hard but I saw that it hurts and the knot or trigger point does not release. One day I went to a massage and the man treated some of my trigger points. What amazed me that he found the trigger point , and he did not push hard. In fact he just hold it there, he did nothing actually. He told me to breathe 4 in 4 out,and just a few seconds later it disappeared. I was shocked! You do not need to press hard ! The harder you press , the more pain you get and less result. The muscle starts to tense instead of relaxing.
Conclusion: Back off the pressure!
I'll try it man thanks for the tip
I have less pain already just from listening to this guys relaxing and therapeutic voice
Subscribing for the ASMR.
Irrelevant402 check out the Alexander technique video.... From another channel...
It's a technique I used as a teen during panic attacks to alleviate thoracic pains. I rediscovered it 30 years later as I couldn't afford deep tissue massages anymore. Thank you very much for your video.
Thank you for your feedback 🙏
HOLY SHIT THIS WORKED SO WELL OMG THANK YOUUY!!!!
This video ended a full month of excruciating pain. Thank you!
Wow!
Having just tried this technique I find it better that dry needling.
My God Doc.. I've barely been able to walk or sleep for a week with my left thigh in insane pain. 30 minutes on and off of gentle squeezing on a strip of what felt like a 1/2" diameter, 4" long piece of taught thigh muscle and it's all gone! Sometimes the Algo can be a life saver. And if I could buy you a beer I would.
I have release probably 100 trigger points on the last month. They are all over my upper body.
Thank you for your feedback 🙏
I have tried ischemic pressure and prefer the deep stroking massage as explained in the excellent book by Claire Davies: The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook. The guidelines are 1. Use deep stroking massage, not static pressure. 2. use slow but short repeated strokes but only in one direction. 3. Aim for a pain level max of 7. Limit the massage to one minute , 12 times a day or once an hour for 12 hours. If you get no relief, you may be working the wrong spot. Of course this is self massage. It is easy to gauge in ischemic how much to back off if you are using the technique on someone else but if you doing self massage, this can be a lot harder to gauge. With deep stroking a level of 7 is easy. Just push in until it really hurts and then back out slightly. That will be a 7.
What is that helping, i know I am relivieving something., but, what Neal.
Thank you! It was really helpful to solve my trigger point
This is awesome! Thank you! Any suggestions on how to do this to trigger points on our back without anyone’s help? I have lots of triggers points on my trapezius muscle and probably on those even deeper.
Thank you for your feedback! Treating trigger points on your back, especially on the trapezius muscle, can be challenging without assistance. You can try using a tennis ball against a wall or lying on the floor to target those deeper trigger points. Experiment with different angles and pressures to find what works best for you. Remember to listen to your body and adjust as needed. Happy releasing! 👍
