Great video Ewan. What's your thoughts on Jetstar international flights returning to Hamilton?

oh, I’m really excited and so pleased for Hamilton and the Waikato!! with 1 million people within an hour's drive now of Hamilton it really makes sense. the real game changer for me and it’s something that Kiwi, freedom virgin and Air New Zealand couldn’t offer is the onward Jetstar global network connection.
so it’s not just Hamilton to the Gold Coast or to Sydney it’s Hamilton to the world.
when I went on the website a few hours ago, I could fly to Bali from Hamilton via Sydney for under $400.
with a bit of luck, they’ll start to offer through fares connecting with Qantas as well which would be huge.

@@ewanwilson2315 oh yeah true. I didn't even think of onward travel. I did check the Jetstar website too. Do you think there is any risk of anti competitive behaviour from Air NZ coming in and low balling airfares to force Jetstar to leave before doing so themselves?

I don’t think so ultimately because they know the parent company is better resource than they are. I mean they will do the tactical response maybe with some discounted airfares out of Auckland targeting Air New Zealand frequent flyers and Airpoint members but I can’t imagine them commencing their own operations.. I read somewhere recently that Jetstar have announced intentions to fly to Cape Town and also to Las Vegas from Sydney. They are a major player in their own right it should be wonderful to watch and in the short term Kiwis and Aussies will get some affordable affairs with a bit of luck!
