just one question i still have alot of shadows in my grass from the sun itself. i disabled all the shadows and also un ticked tangent space normal. but when i move the sun i see that shadows are still on the grass itself. is there a solution for this?
Did you also remove the check mark from cast dynamic shadow under the landscape grass type? Try downloading my project if the problem occurs there too.
hello, i tried the tutorial and download your project, but i have a problem, how can i avoid the color variation of the grass pointed to the sun? i would like to have grass like your that is colored by one color and blended with the grass, but mine, i dont know why, change color so it seems that is not blended with the landscape , do you know how to fix this?
That's strange, by opening the project that you can find on gumroad you should have the same result as the video, I have the doubt that you have not enabled runtime virtual texturing in the project settings, let me know :)
@@graphiclinegames4843 yes, i have enabled the runtime virtual texture support, i imported the grass of your project in mine, but it gives me the same problem, in your project, your grass is well, but mine that i have imported with the same materials doesnt work
@@gabrimtb6809 ok, try to see if the RVTs work correctly by removing the nodes related to the coloring of the grass tip and the fake shadow in the main material. So as to have only the rvt connected to the base color to understand if the problem is the rvt or something else. In this way you should have the grass that mixes with the landscape without additional coloring. Consider that to have the grass correctly mixed with the landscape you only need the RVT node. what do you mean by this sentence? how can i avoid the color variation of the grass pointed to the sun? if you look at the grass from the bottom up?
I'm stuck at the point where the grass is supposed to appear on the landscape at 15 min into the tutorial and I think I've got every step right. Any ideas?
I also had trouble, this is how I fixed it. The material instance linked to the landscape material, switch it to the original landscape material or make a new LI and reattach. You should see it.
For some reason the changes do not carry over to the instance if you created it before making the node updates in the original landscape material. If you finish all the nodes, regenerate a new Material Instance and attach that to the Landscape Material, you should see the grass populate.
Very much looking forward to trying this out tomorrow! Well done!
thx
