Oh my gosh! This is so incredibly helpful. I have the same exact book (well…the sewing version) and I’m planning on making a herbal reference book. I’d been watching a ton of other videos but this one finally came up and it’s hands down the most helpful. Thanks a bunch!! Xx
@AussieBit451 yay! I'm so glad it's a help! I hope you have so much fun creating your book my friend
Excellent tutorial. Thank you for all the helpful tips.💜🐞
You are so welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
I am a beginner and this is by far the best video I have seen
aw, thank you so much! Let me know if I can ever help you, my friend!
Actually I do have a question. What type of fabric do you buy? There were so many I didn't know what to pick.
@@MrsHaynesJr I generally use cotton fabric. I tend to favor prints with tiny florals or farm style prints. Those are my favorite. I find a lot of my fabrics at my local thrift shops and Goodwill stores. Try those, and you can get your fabrics less expensively! It will take you a bit to find your "style" and preference, but it will come to you and you will love it!
I am looking into doing something similar and my apologies if you covered this and I missed it, but: do you need to prewash and/or iron the fabric?
@SurpriseButton no worries at all my friend. I don't ever pre wash or iron my fabric simply because I'm a lazy crafter, lol. But, if it makes it easier for you, then try it. It's just never given me any problems without doing it, so I just saved myself the steps. Tfw!
I have a hint for your glue jars. If you want them to open stress free, just put a layer of Vaseline on the rim of the jar and lid after you are finished and ready to put them away. And the next time you go to use them they will open so easily. Also, it will do nothing to affect the contents in your jar. I do this with all craft items that have a tendency to stick upon opening. I even do it to my dylusions paints. Thank you for your tutorial. 🌞
Oh thank you!
Do you have a video covering the inside?
Very nicely done! Excellent instructions.
Thank you very much! tfw
❤❤❤❤❤☃️🎅🎄
Hey, sweets! I love this. Thank you!!! Christmas hugs!!!!!
Excellent tutorial, thanks. LOL @ "I shed" 🤣
I realize it is kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good website to watch new movies online?
Thanks this was great :)
I have 2 I want to cover :)
Yay! I hope you have so much fun with it!
I like this idea! Thanks to you I’ll do the same💓
Thank you, Anita! I hope you have so much fun
the Aleene's glue you use any special make or just the regular glue? I love your style thanks for sharing your gift
yes, it's just regular Aleene's tacky glue. thank you so much!
This was such a helpful video Diane and the fabric that Laura sent you is fabulous. Thanks so much so sharing this technique.
Thank you for the corner folding tip using the bone folder! Corners tend to be my nemesis.
Thank you for your time....needed this tutorial!
Amazing......thank you sooooo much. You are the best !!!!!
You had me at Alene's, but you almost lost me at Bulldogs. Go Jackets!
AAAHHHH! Oh no! not the Jackets? lolol
Looks lovely I can't wait for the next video xx
Great job
Did you say why you used glue and not ModPodge? Internet problem here and video kept stopping and starting.
You can use mod podge if you'd like. It's just a matter of preference. I like the Aleene's simply because it's a tad bit thicker of a glue and I guess in my mind it may hold better because of that, lol. Just a matter of opinion, I guess.
Thanks Diane.
Love the fabric! Great Tutorial Diane!! TFS! Big Hugs & Blessings!! ❤️🥰
Thanks for sharing
At what point did you show how to measure the fabric needed for this project? And I have no clue what glue you used as "I just refill the jar."🤔 What is gesso?
I didn't cut the fabric on video, it was precut. I just simply laid the binder on my fabric and cut it to be about a half inch larger on each side. I don't ever actually measure but more so, I use the "eyeball" method lol. I used Aleenes tacky glue, that's what I refill the jar with. Gesso is basically a primer for your projects. You can get it at any craft store. It's a bit thicker than regular acrylic paint, but if you don't have gesso, you can simply use acrylic paint but I'd suggest sanding it first to get a good hold for the paint. TFW!
Love the cover.......wanting to see more!
OMG your just in time! I just ruined one thirty minutes ago. 😥
Thank you.. thank you ... Thank you 😀
Good stuff! Love that fabric!
