How to find Operation Werewolf Ace SU-47 Gadfly "Mission 14 Cape Rainy Assault"

- Unsure how to unlock the third special skin for the SU-47 Berkut in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown? Then you have come to the right place.
During Operation Werewolf, The code-name for the fourteenth mission of the game, AKA Mission 14 Cape Rainy Assault, You have to complete a certain criteria for the special aircraft to spawn in, in this instance it is fly through the valley quickly. In this guide I show you simply how to make the special aircraft appear, and then how to unlock it!
As part of an ongoing series I am going to show you how to unlock, find and shoot down all the Aces / special aircraft in the Campaign Assault Records in Ace Combat 7. Gaining all of these skins may contribute to a secret achievement or the Bird Of Prey achievement. So subscribe and follow me on this journey!

The aces are usually harder to spawn in than to shoot down, but this guy however, is literally impossible. At least for me he is.
And I meant impossible to spawn in.
@@MrGentlemanGG_ the timing is like 5 seconds of error for most of my tries. I went with the mig 31 and boosted aspects of slowing and accel to help with keeping the time down. Aside from that you just need to focus on the heli's and tanks.
I brought long-range air missiles to deal with all the flyers. Since the tanks on your side will help kill some as well.

This was kicking my ass for so many tries but your shortcuts, especially with the tight curve, helped immensely. I think the typhoon is the way to go as well, it seems to have acceleration and yaw maneuverability that really lend it to working well for this op

I considered doing that but I could never really find any good information on doing it besides from playing it over and over and sweating the game, Otherwise, I'd have gladly produced the guides, Adore this game. Wish I still had it
Holy sheet after 2 days and 2 hours of play I finally did it. With 1 second left lol. I thought I would time fail and let our a huge sigh of relief when I saw the clock freezing at 18:01. Your two shortcuts, the one with the tree and that last one was a lifesaver! Without those I would have failed.
Funny thing, I got this guy to spawn on my second try of the mission on complete accident, I was just showing some friends what I thought was the worst mission in the game, and I brought up how hard it is to get Gadfly to spawn, and I went full afterburner through the canyons with an Su-34 to demonstrate.. and I managed to get to the base with 8 seconds remaining, I didn't even realize until I targeted him and saw "Su-47 Gadfly" in the IFF.
Its because you were fuelled by fury and you did better I guess

Thanks for all the shortcuts! I used a different plane (DLC plane with FAEB), different control type ("normal") and still managed to do it with some 40 seconds left on the timer when the time froze. I thought I was going to cut it very close as I slowed down significantly on a few turns (otherwise I'd crash into a wall, which sends me flying directly upwards for a few seconds). I only had speed upgrades since my plane has pretty high stability and manuerability (season pass DLC plane).

Finally got him after a few hours, think i actually managed to get him to spawn at 18:23. Maybe the game took pity on me.

Pro Tip. Its under 2:00 not 1:30.
It was 1:30 on release day, probably adjusted it later on with people struggling

Easy bro. Once you unlock the skin you'll be able to do it with ease.
I would say it does some practice and keep in mind taf is a pro at ace in many respects hes a masterful pilot in ace which help. I often try to do a simpler version of what he does ... And i use dlc planes that are easy and fun to use.... This mission however im gona try by the "numbers" of his best suggestions you definitely need a well balanced plane for this small agile and modestly fast. This guide he has is pretty spot on but you could simplify to a degree i guess however is a speed run his post time was very fast likely you might be able to slow it down and still complete it. Makes me wish this game was cross console coop and taf was a full time UA-camr. Rip ace combat infinity ps3 a game i will never be able to play....
I've been stuck on gadfly for 3 days, that flying over the wall trick before the last searchlights is genius, I would have never gotten gadfly if I hadn't seen that, thank you very much for posting this video.

If you’re watching this (very unlikely), you don’t have to memorise or follow everything entirely in the video. Just remember the little hints like the tree and turn and fly the way you’re the most comfortable with, stay controlled over speedy and watch your altitude. Gl

I usually use the su-47 for this one. It's a really good jet to use for the first part and the dumb bombs are awesome for the ground targets
Dumb Bombs are great, nice wide explosion radius, I always prefer rockets that lock on so they cant move out the area in time before boom
Tried it in the F35… finished in under a minute never letting off the gas.

Remember in the other videos I claimed were impossible? I take that back, THIS bullshit is impossible. I never make it through the canyon because my close-quarters flying is godawful and I either fail the altitude restrictions or crash and die.

Nevermind, I got it with the F-35. Never again.
Took me several hours for days to finally get it by the skin of teeth. Sweating bullets and cussing up a storm. Then replayed the campaign normally. Got him to spawn first attempt without even trying. Just unbelievable.

I don't know if this will help you more, but turn off the sound , toggle the headphones, and concentrate more of what you see! I did it with the same plane as the uploader use (after some fails of course trying to go too fast) The course will end until you see the ground targets 🙂

I got it and trust me im so trash at this game is not even funny. Look at the shortcuts he makes actually huge time savers near the end and i got it once without them.
I used a su57 but i dont think its the best aircraft for the job.
Damn you made that look so easy I've been struggling with this mission. I have the tendency to stay very low but I see you stay pretty high kinda sliding through the lights. I'll try it a few more times. I'm using the Su-?? First one with the vector thingy. 5am in the morning I'm not thinking clearly lol
Ya don’t need to go insanely fast through the canyon. Floor it during the straight sections and take it easy during the turns like I did and you’ll make it with a solid 30 seconds to spare.
Zoom out the radar slightly for the map also, that really makes a difference
I nearly completed the mission. . . Then I crashed into the ATC tower
I know this a year later but I’m finally going after the aces with out this video imma be honest don’t think I could have done it I thought I had to use a high speed fighter to complete it so thank you

I hate all these time trials b/c you're the only one mentioning the time requirements vs other links with info.
I have found that websites are often wrong about the criteria, I tested multiple sources before making the videos and my requirements often turned out to be the correct ones
I lost the mission at the end because the GROUND UNITES can't take over the base because of the remaining 2 FIGHTERS WHO FIGHT THE FUCKING PLANES AROUND THEM. At least with your help the first secrion is near "challenging" then imposibble like when I started the mission.

1. You can spawn aces in FREE mission or campaign
2. Your difficulty must be NORMAL or higher

The best time I had going through that canyon was 18:36. After many fails, I hate that the checkpoints don't save if you've met the requirements yet.
I used the Mig-31 with speed and maneuver maxed... Gosh there's like no room to mess up with the time.
Did you beat the time and get gadfly?
@@PrettyTAF ya, time was enough enough once i got through, i was just careless with health and not crashing so often had to redo the canyon. Own all the skins meow.
Do you have any tips on how to use the hold triangle targeting to track enemies without crashing?
Lodey truth be told mate you’ve just got to be careful where your doing it, High in the skies is fine, use it often, when it comes to ground attack. I normally fly directly forwards the target. Use the special system and after I have fired, Pull upwards and do a loop and come back for the next one, Really it’s a matter of not using it in a stupid place and knowing when to and when not to use it, That’s literally it, Simples :)
Lodey Takes a lot of practice just to really get familiar with flying a aircraft over time you will adapt I would say use R1 and L1 to auto pilot your plane (so it levels it out automatically) that’s what helps me
Lodey just stop targeting for just a second and check your surroundings and then start targeting again.

I can't get this one...can you do it in checkpoints?? Do the grounded planes and helis count towards the ground targets needed?
I’m not sure about doing it in checkpoints, I’m pretty sure the enemy aircraft do count because they can harm the crew your escorting, the same goes for choppers, so just destroy absolutely everything and anything to protect the ground crew. Go nuts :)
I finally got it to spawn. But I keep failing and it won't spawn after the checkpoint. I think you have to do it in one go.
@@bramabull111 I just got it today. I did it in the Raven with max maneuverability mods, took me about 35 times. The Raven at least has the machine gun that unleashes holy laser death on the ground clusters, but the bad news is the Raven has a wide wing span. Then I found this video and wished Id done it his way.
1) knowing where to go very fast, and where to go fast
2) Where to fly high and where to fly low.
3) a bit of luck
you need to do this in 1 go. No checkpoints. You need to do it approximately in 2 minutes, or just before the timer hits 18.00
@@judyhopps9380 yeah I just treated it like a racing game and came up with my own lines and enjoyed it in a different way after a bunch of fails. I just lived on with my main ace play through while coming back to that mission once in a while and inching progress out of it over time. I had a hard time following his path so I just made my own. The real problem I had after a while was actually not destroying the grounded b52's as I thought they were relatively harmless lol
Sadly, the check-points only save kills and load out. So any time requirements don't get saved over, this lead me to like 30 tries.
How did i manage to do this while playing the story for the first time and knowing nothing about the aces
You didn’t cause the aces only spawn after completing the missions at least once.
it didn't work. did it in 1:16. nothing. edit, turns out it was because you have to do it on normal or higher.

Used the F-35. It has unmatched mobility. Didn't even need to use the 9G turn for most of yours. 8AGM helps a lot aswell.
@@dootless3819 I finished with mig 31 for unmatched speed. Went with long range aa missiles to deal with all the fighters on the ground and helis. Can do long loops and fire two cruise AA missiles and then use the rest of my path fur the ground targets. Since Ground targets I find can be dealt better with than air targets if you go heavy one way or the other.
Since if you go ground missiles then the only way you can down all the air targets is via standard missiles at close range. finally got it.
Good lord, that was infuriating. I finally managed to do it with the XFA-27.

@@PrettyTAF I'm still amazed that they made a Top Gun: Maverick plane pack. Most devs would have completely abandoned a game after 3 years, let alone do a collab project like that. Sorry to hear about your Xbox, though.

Its part of the skins after you complete the game. I think its normally skin 6 for the aircrafts
