- I’m alive, been a while since I did this kinda video. With the new Fire Emblem game out, I wanted to do so once more, since these are the main videos people know me for nowadays.
For this series I skipped one of the Shez forms to avoid showing the same, or similar convo twice. But worry not I will do a full male Shez video later to make up for it.
It’s worth noting that few characters have 3 supports together. And that some of them only show on certain routes. Quantity over quality, I guess? Warriors Three Hopes definitely had long supports for the smaller number, so I leave that up to you to interpret.

"You might not give a lot away, but your not completely unreadable." I was trying to look for a great description on how Byleth shows emotions, but Jeralt beat me too it. Then again, he is their Dad.
So wait, does Sothis’s awakening make so they can feel emotions or make it so they can express them better?
@@moonmoon2479 I would say it's more to the latter. The kid's heart may not beat, but I seriously doubt their so ignorant in the ways of how one feels emotions. That whole month of grieving Jeralt's death from houses, tells me that much.

I think I do like the concept of Byleth and Shez becoming friends better then enimies. I will say the fact she only has a few support convo's I get why but wouldn't mind maybe more
They better with that DLC, cause I need some voices to hear from Byleth.

Im glad this exists, daddy daughter moments are what were sorely needed in the original game
I like how Byleth speaks in the game during her Support Conversations! In Three Houses, Byleth is silent.
But in fe engage byleth or emblem byleth spoke alot more
I love how, even when they never get to be teachers in this timeline, Byleth still act like one
I also like that Byleth’s awakening occurred when Shez pushed them to their limit in this timeline.
The "Only the Goddess knows" line and Byleth's reaction in private was priceless
It's great getting to see their actual personality
the dialogue choices in 3 houses show their personality? They act differently depending on the route but you can see the throughlines
@@meeperdudeify Their personality is more functional "protagonist needs to say something here" that, as you said, changed on the whim of the plot. I like seeing them speak and interact with characters on their own
I would have liked for Byleth to have a support chain with the 3 house leaders but I'm satisfied with what we got. Really love the Byleth x Jeralt support chain.
Same here, I think it would have been really fascinating to see the lords talk to Byleth while viewing them as the Ashen Demon instead of Professor. Edelgard mentions in her support with Hubert how she feels drawn to them, so it would have been cool to see that play out for example.
@@DRAG0NSPIRIT10 Indeed. If we get any DLC, hopefully they'll add those supports for Byleth.
@@dhisufiroafrozenseraphimdragon Though I will say despite it being a royal shame that Byleth only has a couple supports. It is still great to see Byleth fully voiced in them and it really makes me wish Byleth spoke in the cutscenes in the original Three Houses. I think it would have been really cool to see Byleth change throughout the course of that game going from how they talk in this game (logical and somewhat detached) to becoming more human and emotional (which is pointed out by others in Three Houses).
@@DRAG0NSPIRIT10 I completely agree. It's funny, I already really liked Byleth in Three Houses despite him not having as much characterization as everyone else but with him being voiced in this game, I like him even more.
I'm currently trying to squeeze every bit of dialogue out of him.
@@dhisufiroafrozenseraphimdragon Same. Though Byleth does suffer from being a mute protagonist which limits characterization. I still think Byleth is better than mute protagonists in other game series, since Byleth has an actual story reason for being the way they are and other characters even remark on their nature and how they start changing.
But I think Three Hopes also shows that you can still have a character be a strong and silent/detached type without necessarily making them a mute protagonist, like I said before with Byleth being logical and somewhat detached with what they say in this game. I think the Jeralt, Byleth and Leonie Paralogue shows the best example of what Byleth is like when they are still the Ashen Demon.

While I get that her supports are super limited to these 2-3 people, I kinda wish that she at least had some convos for the "new" characters of the game just so we can get some interactions that never existed in three houses.

I don't even ship them but I would've love to see Byleth and Leonie interaction, it could've been interesting. You know since she has a lady boner for Jeralt.

I know Shez is the main character, but they really should've given Byleth more supports with others. He/She has a voice now. They should've capitalised on it.

So if Three Houses gets a remake in 20 years, will Byleth be voiced this time?
