Yuri is such an interesting character that it's genuinely a shame he was only added as DLC. If he had more room to move in the main campaign, the game could've been a lot more interesting.

I honestly love how Yuri's and Dimitri's supports get into the nitty gritty details of how to engage in progressive politics and enact reforms. He may not have as outwardly big dreams or progressive ideals as Claude or Edelgard, but he puts in more work to understand the everyday lives of the commoners and the things he needs to do to actually ensure their voices are heard and that they live better lives. Edelgard seems to have missed a few steps in her plans, since it took Ferdinand mentioning it for her to even think of a public education system, not to mention that she defaults to war as an engine of social change without really doing enough to accomplish the in-between milestones I think are necessary. As for Claude, for all his strengths and how much I love his dream, he is shockingly ignorant of commoner life and hasn't really considered the impact of Almyra's frequent border raids on less fortunate Almyrans until Cyril outright tells him.
I mean, Dimitri also wishes to enact change, and he didn't know how to help people until Yuri gave him the same ideas. It shows that Dimitri also couldn't have thought about it without help. Why is Edelgard being given some mention of education by Ferdinand suddenly a demerit on her? Seems rather silly. Every leader needs wise counsel if they're to rule effectively.

Also, the way she responded to Ferdinand in her supports made it clear she actually hadn't thought of the need for public education to help create a new educated citizenry to replace the aristocracy she wished to dismantle. Moreover, she was far too focused on the big picture of her war and stuff to really think about the minutia of what policies were needed for ordinary people in Adrestia. Even in Three Hopes, she spends most of the two years gearing up for war and turning the populace against the Church of Seiros as opposed to more structural reforms of the Empire. Even if she did do those things, war has a way of making life worse for people regardless. Finally, if she really understood the needs of commoners, she wouldn't have started a war against the Church quite so soon.

Now that I about it, the commoners characters from Fodlan, like Ashe, Shamir, Dorothea, Leonie, Yuri and Hapi seemed the least enthusiastic about Edelgard’s and Claude’s ideals, that is not to say the don’t agree, but they don’t seem to care much, despite being the ones those claim to want to help. Most characters that embrace Edelgard’s and Claude’s ideals are Hubert, Monica, Jeritza, Lysithea, Constance of and the fathers of Caspar and Lindhart. Who are all nobles. Kinda makes you think, huh? The characters who have the most problem with the Church having too much power are nobles, commoners, even those who aren’t religious at all, don’t seem to care.
I think Edelgard's support with Shez kind of spells it out quite well; as well-intentioned as the end game of her revolution may be, the people who are still going to suffer the most during the duration of it are the commoners. The original game kind of skirted over these details and then happily resolved everything off screen in the epilogue so gamers were never forced to confront thinking about that.
Well, her anti-Crest stance is naturally something the nobles would care about, not commoners. It's all the same nobility as far as they're concerned. Doesn't help that Edelgard is awful quick to spill commoner blood for the sake of her ideals- meanwhile Dimitri spends a lot of time on his maps going out of his way to save them, spends a lot of time listening to their perspectives and wants to enact steady, peaceful reform. If I were a commoner, the choice would be pretty clear.

Tbf Nemesis and the Ten Elites living so long was a given if you look at the 3 Houses timeline. Yuri also mentions being saved by a old man in one of his 3Houses supports
I mean those were both touched on in the original game. Moreso Ten Elites living longer than Aubin healing Yuri (he said he was healed by the old man who died shortly thereafter, and gained the Crest of Aubin).
It's sort of hinted at in the base game with everyone talking about how surprised they are at how little Jeralt has aged (he's a 1st gen crest-bearer, getting his directly from Rhea/Seiros) Three Hopes makes it explicit that he's over 300 years old, though

Yes, I've come to that conclusion too. Regulus is Latin, so it would be a rather odd name for one born in Fódlan, and he was also born on August 12th, which is tied to the Leo star sign. I'm glad someone thought about that too!
That Yuri & Dimitri support is amazing! Yuri gets along really well with Dimitri unlike Edel & Claude, mainly because both Yuri & Dimitri care so much about everyday people/commoners.
Then why is Dimitri so opposed to giving everyday people equal rights and remove the wealth, priviliges from himself and his friends. We are talking about a person who blames a foreign royal heir for a genocide his people commited in the name of his family.

Even Hopes seem to agree that Dimitri is the worst ruler, as he is allied with Rhea, who is one of the main villains of the game alongside Thales and Claude literally tells him that he will kill Rhea and stop the Church in Azure gleam anyway, so he fails in securing a safe alliance with Claude and bring peace to Fodlan either way.

Between how Rhea saved Jeralt and what Balthus revealed in his B support with Yuri back in Houses, people had it figured out a while ago. It's nice to get confirmation though. It's even nicer to see that even when he's dealing with the Godfather himself, Seteth just can't help but be a dad.
yeah they did this with other too like contance and mercedes are really close yet they didn't have a support either i think they just mainly wanted to give supports we haven't seen OR for the ones that do have supports again in this game it's sides that are a bit different for example, this is a more mature sylvain so it's interesting to see how mature sylvain acts as in comparision to not so mature sylvain and with felix, in his OG supports with dima he didn't show the more caring side when it comes to him even though the ending slides they have together showed that so in this game i find their final A rank is really how felix feels about dimitri and him valuing their friendship so yeah, i think showing different sides make the repeat ones more interesting
I think the devs of warriors didnt want to redo supports that already happened in three houses. They only added supports for character relationships they felt like needed to be explored more

Yuri and Dimitri was one of my favorites. Yuri dropped the teasing/sarcastic tone and spoke with full respect towards him as king.
