Lovely video! Thanks so much for taking the time to share this. I have a question, though. On the first round of HDC, you worked ch-2 and then put a hdc back into the corner space. However, on the second round, you didn't do that hdc back into the corner space. Wouldn't that make your stitch count off? Did I miss something?
Hi Cheryl! That is a great question. Thank you so much for asking. In the second row I added the first Hdc in the corner stitch behind just because I was following the pattern. So I did that step for anyone who was following the pattern and might have been confused what was being instructed. If you want to make your first stitch of the row an Hdc in the corner space behind you absolutely can. But as I was making the border on the demo I found that extra step could be omitted. The first chain 2 to begin can count as the first hdc. And as you are working the border the only thing you might notice is that first corner could have a smaller gap in the corner but you are only making a few rows so it's not obvious. For some reason while making the video I just went into crochet mode and I did what worked for me but I could have communicated that better. Thank you for pointing that out. I will remember that for next time. 😊🧡🧶
@@CrochetWithTiffany Thanks for responding so quickly. I do like the idea of putting the hdc in the corner space behind the ch-2 on every round. Next time I use this border, I'll experiment and see what works best. Best wishes with your channel.
Thank you for sharing it’s beautiful, I’m doing a baby blanket now and this will be beautiful. God Bless you and your family always 🙏🏽Love your videos 🩵♥️
Thank you for all the videos you make. You're so patient and thorough ! I've crocheted since I was a young girl. My grandma taught me, but there were no rules back then. I've always had problems keeping my sides straight, my sides seemed to grow outwards, I'd have holes by my turning chains. I retired seven months ago and have committed myself to improving my crochet skills. I turned to You Tube videos for help. You were one of my first tutorials I watched. I have learned so much about crochet and I love the projects I've made. You were a great for resource for my goal! You take the time to explain not only how to crochet, but why certain techniques are required to produce perfect beautiful yarn art. So, thank you, Tiffany! You are very much appreciated!!! 2-22-2021
Well done. We all have the same problems as yourself, you were the one to tell it how it is....thanks for your honesty. Usually by reading all the comments, it seems everybody knows what they're doing, except me ! I should have more confidence in myself. I'm learning, just like yourself. Thanks sweetheart!
You are so good and actually showing and explaining what the results would be with the action taken and clarifying how to maneuver your hook . This is the best tutorial that I have seen the camel stitch executed without someone’s thumb in the way at the beginning of the corners 🧡
As a beginner to crocheting, I found your instructions easy to understand and follow. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. Annie - Australia
Thank you, Tiffany. This is a lovely stitch and will be the perfect border for the basketweave blanket I am in the process of making - inspired by another of your videos.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing. It's nice to see a border that doesn't outdo the blank itself. If I'm crocheting a blanket for weeks (months lol) I want that to be the main focal point.
Since last night I’ve been looking for a border to complete a baby blanket and BAM! There you are with the perfect finish! Thank you, beautiful stitch and great tutorial 💜🙏💜
Great video! Love the captions on the video! Gives me time to pause the video and write down the directions! I need instructions on written down to refer to and helps me remember what I need to do! Thanks Tiffany!
Thanks for your tutorials, great information along with the patterns! What is the symbol of your tatuaje? Keep up the fantastic tutorials you share. God bless
Thank you for the simple and easy to follow tuturial :) I'm trying to figure out which border to do for my baby blankets that I am working on, and stumbled on your channel :) I've definitely have hit the like and subscribe! Now to stalk out more of your videos :)
Hi Michelle! Great question. For any border on a blanket with a rounded corner you will need to find where you can place increase stitches so that the border will lay flat. In the case for most granny squares you will have the stitches in the corner. If you have three chains in your corner you will make your corner stitches in that middle or second chain. If you have an even number of chains for the corner or your granny square you may want to make one more row around your granny square giving it a distinct corner that will help you to make your border. I wish I could be with you to work this out. It can be difficult to type what thoughts you are trying to explain. I hope that this was helpful in some way. Best of luck to you and your blanket project! 😊❤️🧶
Hi Elizabeth! That would be a great idea to make a whole sweater with this stitch. It would be a yarn eater though, and thick and heavy, but that stitch would look beautiful! I do not have a pattern for this yet but I can see that being something in the future. Thanks for asking. 😊🧶🧡
Hi Tiffany, I’m new to crochet ( 1 good thing about Covid-19) and I love your videos. On this specific one you reference your rainbow blanket. Is there a video for that blanket. I looked through your videos but I couldn’t find it. Thanks again for all that you do!
Hi Sandee! Yes! Here is the link to this blanket ua-cam.com/video/b7b6cF5ky60/v-deo.html. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you so much for watching my videos! 😊🧡🧶
I love your videos. I have made a couple of your projects. Including the yarn bee sugarwheel baby blanket. I really want to add the camel boarder to it. Just wondering what yarn you used to go with the sugarwheel. Thank you. 😊😊
Hi Teia! So happy you like my videos and have made a couple of my projects. Very cool! For this exact tutorial I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in color Harvest Maize. That was purely because I loved the gold color so much. Ideally I would have used the same fiber as the main blanket but I did not have that available at the time. You can use exactly what I used or just search for a Gold color. 👍😊🧡🧶
Great Question! That is the Front Post Double Crochet / Back Post Double Crochet Rib Stitch. Just doing each stitch back and forth across the row. I did a tutorial for this stitch to help you know stitch count and how to start and end a row. Here it is if you would like to watch it: ua-cam.com/video/9_l5ADAu5x4/v-deo.htmlsi=KTR5Hqv3w9w58cav
Hey Tiffany! I love your tutorial videos and your Channel! I have done a number of blanket tutorials. My favorites are the shells and cord blanket and the rainbow blanket- with a front post back post Stitch. I am attempting to do the camel stitch on my current rainbow blanket pattern. Although I must be doing something wrong because the border is not laying flat it is rolling under the blanket Edge and turning kind of upset down. What am I doing wrong?! Help!
Hmm, generally when a blanket border curls it's because of stitch tension. Maybe try making your blanket border with a larger crochet hook to help with the tightness and maybe focus on loosening up a bit. Give that a try and let me know if that helps. 😊❤️🧶
Hi Teri! Thank you so much! I’m glad you love my videos! Thank you so much for watching! This border ends at whichever row you want it to stop. Just slip stitch to close the row and you’re done. There is no special “last” row you have to worry about. 😊. Great question. 😊❤️🧶
Hi there Tiffany I was attempting to get all your new updates & the bell icon has a slash through it stating content maybe it’s on my side but it’s got me scratching my head as I can’t see what content would be questionable so just for for you info as you might not be aware thanks 🙏😊 ps love all you tutorials simply awesome 😎💕
Hi Debra! Oh no, the bell thing happened to you. I've already talked to UA-cam about it and the only thing they said was that it's sometimes a glitch. The only solution they had was to have the person unsubscribe and resubscribe. That might make the bell available. Because, ya, I don't see why my videos would be flagged. Thank you so much for watching my videos! I appreciate it so much! 😊🧶🧡
Great border will use for sure. Quick question do we do anything at the end to finish off the border like a sc stitch or just leave the last row as a hdc row?
Hi Collette! Great question. Your last row will be the same as all the other rows. You don't do anything different. If you want to make a sc stitch border as your final row that would definitely leave a very defined look but that's totally up to you. 😊🧡🧶
Hmm, because we are working in rounds for this border it is just making a stitch in that 3rd hump around and around. If you are trying to work this stitch back and forth, I’m not sure if it will look exactly the same. I would work the row you want the V’s showing on the front and the other row back where you are looking at the back of the blanket, I would work regular half double crochet stitches. I hope that helps. 😊❤️🧶
Lovely video! Thanks so much for taking the time to share this. I have a question, though. On the first round of HDC, you worked ch-2 and then put a hdc back into the corner space. Thank you for the Video. Is there a possibility to go back and forth with this stich?. I don’t need it for a blanked, but for a yoke of a cardigan.
How does this border work if you have a rounded corner as in the case of a granny square?? Love the results

Love it! Do you have any tutorials on doing a whole blanket/sweater with the camel stitch? Would it work well for a whole piece like that?
