Tough but short hike that's so worth it. On the weekend it can get pretty crowded, it's true. On the other hand, you see families with pretty small kids taking it on with good cheer; and I saw more than a few seriously overweight folks grinding it out. If they can do it, you can do it!
I live in Camarillo and started doing this hike years ago when the stairmaster at the condo broke. After a challenging day at work coming out here was the greatest thing ever. I like that you continued on down the backside as that is my favorite part. My least favorite part is now everybody knows about it and it gets kind of crowded. But thank you for the video, very well done.
This is my favourite part of Ray Miller ultra. The photographer sits up here and gets spectacular pictures of runners with the cliff, hills, and ocean behind . I also love the similar view atop Ray Miller
Yes! On my list but a bit far for me (I'm south of LA in the OC). Hoping to spend a few days up there this Spring to create guides. I haven't been up there since before COVID, excited to get back.
Great trail to hike, challenging but beautiful and the view is really more than worth it to go up there. Thank you so much for taking us with you. And in case you want to kill some spare time or just watch a relaxing hiking video around a german canyon, I just shared a new tour ;) Take care out there and happy hiking. Best wishes, Mario
Had to add this to my roaming list. There's apparently another log it list near the flag (peak). And I also want to bring a kite with me. Thank you for this one too.
Excellent video. Especially for someone coming into the area on vacation. Thank you
Thank you for all these videos! These are super helpful.

The trail is so ancient switchbacks had not yet been invented.
What a view!
@@mmess65 Gee, don't worry about crushing my attempt at humor with facts.

Flying a kit from up here would definitely be epic...
AT 1:12, I think you meant to say PCH.
