The pumpkin-pull cabbage roll was BRILLIANT. Well done. Don't know if this is something you came up with independently or not but it's the first I've seen it in the several speedruns I've watched and wow, what a difference! Also a really nice touch putting the 5th flower in the box to drag over, top shelf efficiency that.
Glad you've enjoyed those strats, especially butt cabbage, which is a very fun strat to do. All the credit goes to another goose runner, Ritzblues, for coming up with both of those strats as well as the route foundation for the 100% speedrun. They are an amazing runner and can't thank them enough for what they've done with Goose Game.
Thank you! Yeah the community has been looking more into limiting the number of repeated task with a 1 reset route. Timing is very tight with its route but it will be exciting to attempt.
I'm aware I'm like 2 years late to this but this is certainly some dedication. I'm nowhere near capable enough to speedrun a simple but complicated game like this. Massive dedication, props to you my friend! You've achieved one of the most annoying goals in goose history, and in good time, too.
Thank you Maxtendo! We all start somewhere. A bit of practice, time and asking for help can produce some incredible things. Plus a silly fun game like Goose certainly keeps me coming back to run it again and again.
I genuinely thought after you get crowned, you'll be able to enter the fancy house near the picnic area.. But this ending also entertaining.. Well played!
That task is completed early upon entering high street, before the first area reset. It's why we bring the Groundkeeper into high street where he then can run off to negotiate buying his spade back while the goose uses the scales and trips the boy. Just as the reset screen transition is happening the list animation for the task pops up, confirming that the task was completed to where the game does its visual animation. If the task was missed as well, the Crown and the congratulations at the end would not have spawned as those require every task to be completed in order to exist in the game world.
Yeah its wild how short those areas are. The one reset route gets really crazy. It completes garden and high street, resets, then completes back garden and pub in a single go. Of course the second half of that is a rather tight window so lots of runs can end there
Yep that would be for the any% category which only needs the bell instead of all the tasks like the 100% run. WDN2010 created a Tool Assisted Speedrun that completes the any% category in 1: 59 and Hypaws has the any% world record with a 2: 04. Both are fantastic people and I am very happy to know them in the speedrun community. I highly recommend checking them out if you get a chance cause they are amazing
I tried doing a few of the glitches and i kinda succeeded? i got the bell clipped through the gate but then it was too far to reach so i couldnt get the goose through partial victory!(?)
At this time the best guide I know of is on Steam written by another runner Tasselfoot. Unfortunately outside of that there's not much written information we have on either the 100% speedrun or the to do quickly tasks for casual playthrough right now. I do have plans to eventually have video guides on these but will take some time do. Hope the Steam guide can help in the meantime
I appreciate the suggestion, I wouldn't be too interested in doing a glitchless 100% run though. There wouldn't be any difference in strats used between the runs, just a couple extra pieces that we wouldn't have done before. Unfortunately because 100% requires you to do everything, it creates a limitation on what could be glitched or skipped. Certainly would take longer, but not many differences in strats and flow. Unlike any% and any% glitchless were the only objective is getting the bell and rolling the credits leaves a lot of room to skip entire areas which really changes the strats. I can break down the differences and the time added for a possible estimate really quick if interested. Full bell return, would add about 2.5 minutes to the time. The other couple glitches in the run together would probably be about 2 to 2.5 minutes. This would include taking down the castle and everything else, which is mostly avoiding walking around a fence or gate so it would be small amounts of time there. A good time would probably end somewhere between 31 to 33 minutes based off that, most likely using a 2 reset route at best due to the extra time added to back garden. Hopefully, the little breakdown helps gives an estimate on how fast it would be if it was glitchless. And again I appreciate the suggestion and the interest in the speedrun possibilities!
Hi! At this time I'm in the process of writing out a 100% guide for the speedrun community and I will be sure to include tutorials on any glitches. In the meantime I can give a quick blurb about glitches. Most glitches can be done by being up against a fence/wall with an item, dropping it, then quickly ducking your head and grabbing the item back at the same time. It takes a bit to get used to but once you have it down you can apply it to a lot of places. If you want a quick visual of this being done, the bell return at 16:00 with the controller inputs on the bottom right can hopefully provide some additional help. Hope this helps out a bit! Goose luck with the glitches!
From the sound of it the stool is being pulled too late / during the sit down animation. The trick to the 'make the old man fall' task is to pull the stool out when he turns his back to you before he starts to sit down. This should provide a large window of opportunity to ensure you can grab the chair and pull it away away from where he is. Hope this tip helps out!
Yeah you could. I would recommend checking out guides more geared towards casual achievement collecting since those might be easier/quicker than breaking down a speedrun. If you do want to use the speedrun as a guide i wouldn't recommend following the speedrun exactly as I do it if going for the area speedrun achievements as the run does extra things unrelated to the main tasks/speed tasks which can eat up time. Best would be to break it down to what is being done for the main tasks and see what's happening cause there are a couple tricks that can help, such as hiding the gardeners hat the the big plant bush for faster sunhat. There are a couple tips I can list that can hopefully make the process easier: - The time to complete the speed tasks is 7 minutes. From when you press honk at the start of the game/reset session to when the bell in the background rings. You can reset the 7 minute timer and area with the reset button in the pause menu. Again timer will start once you press honk to start. You will need to redo the main tasks in the area to achieve the speed task. - The gardener can be easily distracted by turning on the sprinkler or turning on the massive water collector if the goose does not have an item in their mouth. - You can hide the gardeners hat in the center of the big bush in the garden for possible quicker sunhat task. - You can use the buy back task with the boy and his toy plane to distract the shopkeeper. Allowing you to do the collection task in peace until the buy back is done. - The pub bouncers shoes can be untied, which can distract for a second and stops him from chasing you when he falls down (until he sees you again). - You can pull the stool out from under the old man once he's turned around and facing away. You don't need him to start crouching down to do that. - Lower you neck down when carrying the glass mug. If you accidentally bump into someone it this will greatly lower the chance of the mug breaking. Hope those tips help out and much luck on the speed tasks!

Pumpkin and cabbage in one go was very impressive
How you skipped through the whole running home with the bell was so cool.
Thanks! It's always quite fun to do that skip
This helped me a lot! I actually tried this and it worked! Thanks for this trick
Yea he glitched through almost everything that is blocking the way
@@Thundar001What's the button input technique to glitch thru the gate with the golden bell??
I love the thought of there being a goose somewhere causing this much mayhem

Glad you enjoyed watching and that the stats were able to help you with 100%!
professional silly goose behavior
I love how this goose is just a complete menace. And in record time, too.
You’re so good at this! It takes me 5 minutes just do to a regular to-do list for the GARDEN.

Lol, You Getting out from the gate with the bell was funny.
It is my favorite clip that we do in Goose. Ends the entire bell return sequence before it can even begin
What a scam!
Wow this is incredible work!
Thank you!
This is just wonderful to watch, the most dangerous waterfowl to ever live. A shame we can't reach the castle
Glad to hear! I know, it would be awesome if the goose could go to the real castle. To think of all the chaos that could be caused
26:53 Hail to the King, Baby.
When you see it like this it reaffirms my believe that this game is a tribute to High Plains Drifter.

That task is completed early upon entering high street, before the first area reset. It's why we bring the Groundkeeper into high street where he then can run off to negotiate buying his spade back while the goose uses the scales and trips the boy.
