I am an adjunct professor at a community college. I, historically, have taught Surgical Technology, but am helping out with the Medical Assisting program. Young lady, your videos are an excellent resource for those looking into this career, but also for an instructor, like me, who did not perform in this role! Keep up the good work!
The most informational ‘day in the life’ I’ve seen! Actually talked about the job not about what you had for lunch and how you did your hair that morning. Thank you!!
Hey !! I just want to say that I remember watching your part 1 when I started MA school & now I’m about to start working at IU Health here in Fort Wayne next week! Im really glad I came across your part 2, I can’t wait to start my journey!
Thank you for the video. I will be starting my MA program soon and I appreciate the tasks you’ve shown here to help me get a better picture of what I’ll soon be doing.
As a medical assistant could you give in advise for those trying to be a medical assistant like how you started and how you like your job now just some more information but love your videos
I know you didn’t show any patient info or anything violating HIPAA but where I’m from they wouldn’t even let me record like this. Kinda cool tho you have the opportunity too and be able to show people
You and your coworker are so gorgeous demonstrating more detail of what yall actually do...and cute belly...hope baby is good and healthy...again thanks for this good information.
I see these are old videos but I'm just now seeing them, and thank you for this! I am a little less than half way through medical assisting school and I love seeing what its like outside of school. Thank you so much!!!!!
I had an interview today with medical assistant hopefully I'll get the job I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I graduated right doing the epidemic so we didn't have to graduation but we got a diploma and everything it's still on the hole until next year sometime but anyway thank you for sharing this video
I just watched part 1 & now part 2. I swear I kept staring like i knew you, but its just because from the side when you were charting & certain clips you look so much like Lauren London. I appreciate all your videos & I'm so excited to start my new job. Thanks hun!!!
ADRIENNE hahah well thank you for that amazing compliment 💕☺️ she’s beautiful 🥰 and I’m so glad you liked my videos & congrats on your new job!!! Good luck and keep your head up always!! If you ever have any questions just let me know!
i literally was thinking the same exact thing omg lol I was looking through the comments to see if anybody thought the same things as me. they have same teeth and nose lol she really do.
Watched both of your video’s, they are very good. I am a retired Medical Assistant for a Endocrinologist and loved it. Your video is very good for people interested in becoming an MA. There are so many medical area’s you can work, you can work at hospital or clinic’s. The clinic I worked at has mostly Medical Assistant’s in each office, very few nurses. Medical Assistant’s have taken the place of Licensed Practical Nurse.
I loved part 1 and part 2 was amazing! I graduate next month and I take my CCMA in 5 weeks I’m so excited!!! I know it’s different everywhere but your videos gave me an idea of what I’m going to do and I couldn’t be happier And a bit prepared. I hope for my extern I get great people for coworkers and patients! ❤️❤️
I am taking online courses soon to be a Clinical medical assistant and your medical assistant videos are so entertaining to watch! i can't wait to be a medical assistant now! :)
I’ve noticed how different every practice is. There are also some similarities between them. I’m currently an MA but I never went to school for it. I’ve been lucky to find jobs where I’ve been trained as I go. My goal is to become a physician myself so being able to work directly with the physician and see how he interacts with his patients is very useful and inspiring for me.
I enjoyed your video. You are very professional at your job, pleasant personality . You were very detailed in your presentation of the duties you due daily. You are a great asset to your company and to future medical assistants. Thanks for all you do!
I think MA job is challenging because you are doing many things that play big part of doctors job. I have blood, needle phobia and I can not imagine to see or perform blood draw. That's why I started therapy to overcome my phobia and hope to be a MA one day. It is hard but who knows. Great video!
I just found your channel and love your videos! I am currently half way done with my MA program and will soon head to my externship site. Could I suggest videos about scrubs, work -hair/makeup, essentials an incoming MA should have? Thanks
Watched and commented on part 1. Absolutely love part 2. I’m finishing up my GED , should be done by the end of June! 🎉👩🏽🎓 Tuesday I’m filling out some papers that I need to , to get started on my training for CMA! Everyone keeps telling me becoming a CMA isn’t worth it. They say the pay sucks, and it’s just takes all your time and it’s not worth what you put into it!! 😫 bummer , people can’t just be happy for me. But I’m in love with the CMA field, and this is what I have my heart set on! I thank you so so much for your videos. They help me a lot.🖤🖤
Brittany Wilson thank you so much love! I’m glad you enjoyed my videos! & woo hoo! You got this! Always remember to do what YOU want to do! You won’t know until you try it! Everyone has different experiences so keep your head up and don’t give up! Good luck on everything!
Not true at all! Idk where you live but from what I know in Ga regular Medical assistant in PCP offices can range 11/12 to 14 an hour or so depending. At urgent Care I know of people that got paid 15$ to 17$ an hour. You could gain more experience and knowledge, be trained on the job on things that nurses go to school for. Your job can pay for your training and certify you. Also even to go back to school to complete your nursing degree! And you can even get paid same as a amateur nurse. Again depends on the company. Good luck and don't let anyone tell you you can't do something!! Look for small companies that are expanding. You can move up with the company. You can go so far if you put your mind to it. Good luck n God bless!
Just found your channel and I am so glad! Just hit the subscribe button. I’ll be starting my MA program in a few weeks and I’m excited and nervous. I’d love to see your story on what made you want to become a MA, the average income from your state, any study/note taking advice that helped you, etc. 🙂.
Wow I am SO glad I found you! I really want to get a degree in medical assisting. I love these videos and hope you post more in the future! Really enjoyed these! Can you possibly do a medical assisting q&a video?
Family medicine is not even close to any specialty clinic. I’ve been a medical assistant for 5 years (1 year in pain clinic and 4 in fam practice). We see from 19-21 patient every day, from new born to geriatric patients, from physicals to acute visits. The only slow days we have is usually the beginning of the year for a couple of weeks due to the insurance re-enrollmen. I reach my 15k steps everyday 😝 but I love what I do no matter how hectic it can get.
Your job is similar to a primary health care nurse. Im an RN from South Africa. We don't have so many other professions, RNs just fulfill most of those functions at the doctors rooms
I like this video really help me ... want video more like this showing what EMR using and how it works . how to get hospital jobs or multiphysician clinic.
Thank you for these videos! I am currently at a university studying Early childhood ed with the previous intention to be a Kindergarten teacher, but lately I have been having doubts. I am considering transferring and becoming an MA! I have always been interested in the medical field so when Facebook read my mind that I was considering other options (seriously though... never searched up changing majors or anything but randomly got an ad on facebook study to be a CMA! Like what???? It's fate lol) I was sold. Been looking up MA videos for the past few hours. Again thanks so much!
I just interviewed at a multi Dr office for Medical assistant. I'm currently a Phlebotomist at a blood bank but I'm looking for weekends off. Please pray I get it. Its $16 an hour!!!!
Omg just by watching i get even more exciteddd to be in the real medical field(: im almost finished with my program i have one month until my externship
You should talk about how you got to where you are today with your medical lifee, id really really appreciate 💖. I really like your work videos and what you do in the med field (:
Hi, hon! I loved seeing your baby bump..you're going to be such an awesome mommy!!! So excited for you..you're doing everything right in life. I'm pretty new to your channel. Just started school for my MA. Already had my babies, so doing it a bit backwards. :) Wish me luck, love! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Sharlene Colon heyyyy girrrrrl!🥰 Honestly, a day in the life vlogs are always interesting! Show as much as you can, if there something interesting that you’ve learned or something interesting at all w/ working in your specialty clinic you can even share w/ us those type of cases of course going off of patient confidentiality. But in all honestly what we love to see is YOUR day in the life as a Medical Assistant, even if it is the same things yaknow? You bringing us into your line of work is something different and that’s how I subscribed and found your channel, I love watching Day In The Life of all medical field jobs. Do not think we are going to be bored because you have two videos out right now and we are all wanting more😂😂 I know you’ve been in this position for two years now but I am excited for your journey❣️
Hi 👋🏼 I’m graduating as CMA next March. I go in my externship on October. I was provided with an stethoscope and a sphygmomanometer. The stethoscope is not that good do you recommend buying one and if so which type? Thanks!
Got a couple questions How long was your program? I did medical assistant back in 2015 I literally worked only for 1 day and quit I went straight to nursing school now I’ve been working as a nurse for almost 2 years and I love it a lot. My question is what kind doctors office are you working at? And how do you deal with the doctors?
Hi I'm considering going to school for this. I'm a medical records clerk and was wondering do you guys file and deal with as much documents as we do? All day I have to be calling, and faxing different providers to get certain documents do MA's do the same thing? Thank you!!
I just found your channel and its live saving!! Im going to the school im interested in tomorrow to apply and become a MA and im so nervous! Im 20, been graduated from hs for 2 yrs and have 0 medical experience WHATSOEVER and im freaking out!
Jasmine Johnson it’s okay!!! Everyone starts at that level of no experience! Once you get into it you’ll gain your confidence and build your experience! If it’s something you are interested in don’t let fear stop you! You got this!
Thinking of going to a MA trade school. 10 months. Not sure if I should go straight to college and do my 4 years to be a RN or go to MA trade school to get my foot in the door and then go to college. Any recommendations??
It really depends on you and your source of support. MA school you can attend and work. Being in nursing school is more intense. I was an MA and loved it.
So I’m really scared to do injections, I just feel like I’m going to be hurting the patient by just sticking that long needle in their arm. How do you feel about giving injections? Is it not that bad? Also what exactly is the 6 minute walk for ? Sorry for all the questions, lol I’m just trying to weigh out which profession is better for me phlebotomy or medical assistant.
Well for me I’m a medical assistant and I currently work in a pediatric office so it’s worse because it’s kids and I was alittle nervous because I never gave a shot before but after the first time I did it I was ok the more you do it the more you become comfortable
I am in school for MA. and I have 3 module left till externship and Iam insanely nervous but this video helped me so much. So informative thank you so much ❤️
Externship is in two weeks and im soooo nervouse!!! Never did anything medical AT ALL except in class !! Uggh Any advice? Also i will be 26 weeks pregnant.
Samone- Checkout my channel ppl who are cnas go to technical schools but I’ve seen some who say “I went to college and graduated as a CNA”. Like no, you did not go to college 🤦🏻♀️
@@angiedelatorre_ a technical school is real school. My husband's in technical school right now for heating and cooling, because technical schools offer so many different subjects. Those are real schools lol. And maybe you should just get out more girl because some community colleges do offer programs to become a CNA. For example I'm in Michigan and we have a school here called Washtenaw community college that offers it, and there's others too. Maybe theres just no colleges in YOUR area that offer it, and that's unfortunate 🤷 but either way why do u care if they tell u that they went to college to become a CNA? Lol weird
Just about to start my CMA classes! I’m mom if 2 girls toddler and newborn! I’m CNA, so I’m trying to get CMA and become also phlebotomists than wait to see what God has plans for me but your videos are helpful!!!! What study method did you use to get through school and Exam
Margaret Renovat I’m glad my videos are helpful to you! 🙂 and yes keep going>>> reach for the stars! & for study method I am just traditional. I study out of a book that I got from my school and online practice tests.
Sharlene Colon thank you for responding’ I’m traditional too but would love to find different ways to study. Thank you the goal is definitely to reach for the stars
Hi Sharlene, It was a great content posted by you. I do have a Question in mind that I am a working Profession in freight company and my do not possess a medical background or medical office Assistant experience. What would you like to recommend me based on your expertise that will help me land into a job. Where I will be able to learn Pharmacy terminology necessary for the job?
next semester is my last before i get my degree in medical assisting and this made me less nervous about becoming one! my only concern is that i’m not interested in drawing blood bc i hate needles and such. would i necessarily have to draw blood as a medical assistant or is that not a requirement to be an MA?
Question ? I’m about to start medical field but I’m stuck in medical assisting or administrative assistant ? What u guys think pay ? And type of work they do and what’s the difference ? Those with experience in both I need tips 😊
Love your videos..thank you for uploading planning on going to school this August once my youngest is in school...what part of the hospital do you work at? And at yours do you have to give patients their shots?...I know every place is different so I was jw 😊
hello. I want to be a medical assistant and I also taking taking ESL classes . I am wondering if you have any recommendation for me. I do not know some app or web sites for study?
Personally, I can’t take a CNA seriously. Majority just go to some hocus pocus vocational college advertised in those commercials. Anyone can do it. Those type of schools end up being far more costly when you can become certified at a community college for a fraction of the price. Sorry if my comment comes off as harsh.
Hi I'm thinking pf going to school to becoming a medical assistant. The only thing I'm unsure about is the administrative duties. Is it alot to do or minimum depending on where you work?
It all depends on where you work. If that’s something you are unsure of make sure you look for clinical medical assisting jobs and ask about it on interviews.
I am an adjunct professor at a community college. I, historically, have taught Surgical Technology, but am helping out with the Medical Assisting program. Young lady, your videos are an excellent resource for those looking into this career, but also for an instructor, like me, who did not perform in this role! Keep up the good work!

So informative thank you so much ❤️
Did you finish your program? How do you like the job?
Externship is in two weeks and im soooo nervouse!!! Never did anything medical AT ALL except in class !! Uggh
Any advice? Also i will be 26 weeks pregnant.
I used to want to be a cna.... but that career doesn’t pay good. So I decided to go to a real college and get a better career like Dental Hygiene
A real college? Are there fake ones? And yes usually people who start as a CNA work their way up to RN
Samone- Checkout my channel ppl who are cnas go to technical schools but I’ve seen some who say “I went to college and graduated as a CNA”. Like no, you did not go to college 🤦🏻♀️
Angie De La Torre but don’t u have to take college accredited classes to become a CNA? I’m not in the medical field yet so this is a bit confusing.
Also, are Medical Assistants and CNA’s the same?
Just saw this and just subscribe. I'll be doing my practicum tomorrow lol 😅 so scared and anxious. How often do you used medical terminologies though?
Wishing you the very best!
Your video has helped me a lot, thank you so much!!!
Idk if I should be a medical assistant or cosmetologist. People always ask me if I'm going to be a medical assistant or nurse..
Follow your heart! 💖
It all depends on the clinic you work at.
I thoroughly enjoyed this! I took notes! Thank you.
I'm doing online school right now as an medical office assistant I'm nervous but excited to graduate
Good luck to you!

Love your videos..thank you for uploading planning on going to school this August once my youngest is in school...what part of the hospital do you work at? And at yours do you have to give patients their shots?...I know every place is different so I was jw 😊
Great video, very informative thank you!
I need to rectify I have had a CMA since 2014 but could never find a job hopefully I can find a job in it once a move to Texas
Lots of jobs in Texas but super low pay. $14 an hour average
Love this!!!!!
I have a question how much do you make a hour as being a medical assistant??im from Newjersey
It depends where, my sister is a medical assistant at a cancer hospital and she makes 21 an hour.
It's different in each state and city so give me your zip code and I can tell you.
My cousin works in Oregon and she started out at 18 an hour
I lovee thesee videosss 💖
hello. I want to be a medical assistant and I also taking taking ESL classes . I am wondering if you have any recommendation for me. I do not know some app or web sites for study?
You can find a few on UA-cam.
Is it common for men to become a Medical assistant? I just started school & I’m nervous once I managed to find a job
Hey I know which hospital your in :O I had my baby there lol I always stop to look at those pictures. Starting school on the 28th lol
Personally, I can’t take a CNA seriously. Majority just go to some hocus pocus vocational college advertised in those commercials. Anyone can do it. Those type of schools end up being far more costly when you can become certified at a community college for a fraction of the price. Sorry if my comment comes off as harsh.
It's an entry level position, people usually do it to get a taste for the medical field and work their way up.
Hi 👋🏻 I’m an MA for Family Practice & Occcmed. Love your videos! Very accurate 😁
this was good to watch thanks again for sharing
Hi I'm thinking pf going to school to becoming a medical assistant. The only thing I'm unsure about is the administrative duties. Is it alot to do or minimum depending on where you work?
It all depends on where you work. If that’s something you are unsure of make sure you look for clinical medical assisting jobs and ask about it on interviews.
