The Old Testament is a shadow, Jesus is the reality. This is why John tells us that the Glory of God Isaiah saw in Isaiah 6 was the glory of Jesus Christ. John 12.
Isaiah tells us in Isaiah 9 that Jesus shall be called EVERLASTING FATHER, MIGHTY GOD.

The name YHWH is repeated throughout the Old Testament (actually it's the Old Covenant); and, whenever the name YHWH appears in the Scripture, "The Lord" is used in its place. The Hebrews considered God's name to be too holy to be spoken by humans, because we are sinners. The Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew (with some parts written in Aramaic). If you will read a Hebrew Bible, you will see God's personal name used throughout the Bible; but, the Hebrews would say, "The Lord", whenever they read aloud and came to God's name. Each time you see "The Lord" in English Bibles, it is YHWH in the original text. We don't know how it was pronounced.

I would like to know how it is that modern theologians have come to the understanding that the way to pronounce God's name is 'Yahweh'. The pronunciation was lost. how can we know it?
There is no one above God to give Him a name. Let's call The One True God "Father", just like what Jesus do.
Then it's for HIM to decide what He should be called, isn't it?

it is rude to call your father by his name, a child does not refer to his father by his name he calls him Dad or father, pa, papa, etc. we are God's children so we must all have his name , your name is his name, therefore we are all princes and princesses. we are of divine royalty of the sovereign king Jesus in earth and father in heaven. .... in earth as it is in heaven

If that is so, then your vocalization of YaHWeH (YHWH) is very wrong for it has the English letter W (pronounced "double UU") instead of the Hebrew sound of "single V." How can that be?? The Hebrew language does not use the sounds we use, W J and CH. The tetragrammaton is 4 letters with the equivalent English alphabet characters, YHVH. The Hebrew speaking people do not use the 'w' sound. There are several Jewish Hebrew scholars that are adamant that Yahweh is incorrect. There is agreement that Yahovah is the most likely name that Moses heard at the burning bush.

Paul, who was a true apostle of God, wrote an entire book of Galatians to refute the Judaizers, the ones who still insist the law of Moses to be kept, the ones who are not born again and still tries to follow the way which leads nowhere else but to be cursed.

The moral commandments are being kept by every born again believer simply by following the Holy Spirit in him. As Jesus said there are two commandments which include all the other commandments. So if you truly are born again, you will follow the two main commandments and that would keep you holy.

The name Jesus is the Anglican (viz., English) rendering of Yeshua. Jesus' Hebrew name is actually Joshua, which means, "God Saves". Note Matthew 1:21. "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." [Note, Matthew was originally written in Greek, and the name given in the Greek text is Iasous, which is the Greek rendering of Joshua. The meaning of Joshua was known to the Hebrews, of course. [One of the early church fathers said he saw the Gospel According to Matthew in Hebrew. Of course this interests serious students and scholars.]

Yahweh IS NOT God's name - it is the mistaken invention of 20th century scholars who did not think to ask the JEWS how the tetragrammaton should be pronounced - Jewish Rabbis know that it was always pronounced Yehovah - Martin Luther knew that, and he spelled it the German way, Jehovah [in German j is pronounced 'y'] - which is how it became transliterated into English as Jehovah, which was good enough for 19th century evangelicals such as C H Spurgeon, but arrogant liberal scholars thought they knew better, and sadly many evangelicals have swallowed their error.

In Jeremiah 3:8 God sent Israel a bill of divorce. He sent Israel a bill of divorce. He was married to Israel. It doesn’t get anymore intimate than that.
Then Jesus comes and calls the Church His bride. He was beaten and killed for His bride. No man ever has or ever could pay such a high price to have a life with a woman. And He sits in heaven intimately pleasing His bride more deeply than any man ever has or ever could bringing new children of God into His kingdom every day.
Sarah called Abraham lord just like the Church calls Jesus Lord. It’s a willful submission. Sarah knew Abraham loved her and loved God and wouldn’t do anything to hurt her. That’s how the church is supposed to look at the Lord. He isn’t a hash husband who’s going to beat you if you mess up. He’s a loving husband who knows that when you sin you’ve given yourself to the enemy for a moment and all he wants to do is hurt you and abuse you. The Lord gave His life to save us from that.
It’s not a list of laws but love fulfills the law so He says walk in the Spirit of God who is love and you’ll do well.
Christians aren’t created to be destroyed but so many give themselves over to the one who hates their souls and make themselves enemies of God and most don’t truly understand because the love of God is rarely received. Instead believers find themselves somewhere between a loving God and a harsh law giver being bounced around between truth and many opinions because of a lack of intimacy and an inability to see God’s people as His children or sheep and seeking His heart for them to feed them and care for them and make them welcome to sit with Him and say “I love you Father. Teach me to be a good son and glorify your Son in me so the world will see and experience you through me and repent or have piles of evidence of your patient kindness stacked against them in the day of judgement.”
That’s why I believe in healing and miracles today. People still need to have tangible expressions of love given to them and God knows that. He doesn’t say no because someone needs a miracle. He says no to the one who says “Show me a miracle and prove that you’re the messiah.” He knows why He does and doesn’t but either way it’s always been the same. Some people want gifts and a few want to be with Him and seek to be His friend and it’s easy because He enjoys His bride receiving her freedom and enjoying her life with Him dancing and singing about how mighty her husband is.
He’s so kind that He would take a piece of trash like me who deserved hell 1000 time over and speak to Him at night and bring him to his knees in tears with the love He poured out in his heart and cause him to feel the love of God for men who hurt. To weep from God’s heart as you hear their painful stories and see God touch their hearts and cause men to weep and struggle to hold back tears as God’s power beats on their hard hearts hoping they might let Him in so He can love them and heal their wounds.
I pray God’s people truly seek Him for His deep love and find revelation of what they read and a deep desire to LOVE Him and bless people with intimate friendship that expresses His desire to be friends with them.

@@felipekennedy3135 absolutely. The true Israel is born of God. The temple in Jerusalem isn’t the real temple. God’s temple is built by His hands Romans 9:1-8.
Jesus Christ is the only way. If any person rejects Him they aren’t true Israel. That’s why Jesus said to love everyone. It’s the only way they might be saved. The Lord loves them but most Israelites by birth hate God’s true Son and reject the life He wants to give them.
