i'm a hobbyist writer and of a now abandoned series of mine, the two characters (both female) Pyra and Mercy are in a relationship. Pyra early in the story shows Mercy kindness, friendship, and love for the first time in decades after Mercy has gone through, to put it mildly, absolute horrific hell from the time she could walk to the time she was grown up. from abusive parents, to "showing a child TO MUCH love", to horrific experimentation after being committed to an asylum just to name a few, it was something she just couldn't accept as real or genuine. especially since Mercy was EXTREMELY violent, cold blooded, and murderous who had an impressive kill streak. her catchphrase is "Just because my name is Mercy, doesn't mean i have any". yet despite all this Pyra still accepts her and eventually completely changes Mercy back to a normal and caring, if still overprotective and somewhat slightly violent and quick to anger person. eventually however Pyra is killed after an altercation leaving, once again completely destroying Mercy's now perfect and happy life and leaving it shattered into pieces, leading her once again to reverting her to violent bloodthirsty self who goes looking for a revenge in a state of utter heartbreak.
Well it's another story when I wanna help them but they seem to act like nothing's wrong.
