This was such an unexpectedly sad anime. I remember browsing MyAnimeList for something to watch, came across this and checked out the genre tags. "Psychological, Thriller", I was like eh okay, whatever.. good score, nice cover art, give it a go. Shit fucking demolished me. Something outside my basic spectrum was so amazing, I recommend it to people and since then have tried other anime I've been a little unsure of. It's good to branch out :D even if it ends up crushing your very soul
If only all anime was the "best anime". so much of it is garbage though... and hard to sift through. im not sure how others feel about it, but i did really like code geass. best mech anime as far as im concerned, smart character, tragedy i suppose. characters you like and are surprised by the loss of. characters that think they know so much and find out how wrong they are. I really cant wait for the advent of AI in a few years. we can look forward to a never ending stream of content made just for us. countless new masterpieces.

I've gotten so emotionally attached to the characters. Lots of people say that there was no character development I thought it was perfect. They took a situation and let you decide base off of the little information or screen time they were given so that you can decide what you think about the characters in depth. It's like meeting someone for the first time. You know little things about them but despite that you grow attached and you want to know more. *SPOILER* When the two of them died it made you wish they had more time to get to know them. All in all this anime was very realistic. There are some who want distinguishable characters right off the bat. Is that really how you get to know somebody....not really. That's why this anime is the best, bittersweet.
i'm so happy this got added onto netflix. eventhough i've already watched it, i'm still really happy. this show is finally gonna get the recognition it deserves
