As influential as Bob Dylan and Chuck Berry in his own inimitable way. It will never cease to amaze me that he wasn't as big a star as his Birmingham cohorts: (such as) Jeff Lynne (ELO) and Roy Wood (The Move/Wizzard). Great song from one of our (GB) greatest songwriters and performers ever - thanks for the upload.
I bought a couple of his Albums in the late 1970's, but this is the first time of seen Steve Gibbons live/video. UA-cam's pretty amazing when you can view a band you liked from over 40 years ago, and then watch them perform for the first time over 40 years later. Always liked this song.
SGB fans: between 1980 and 1982 there about, the lead guitarist with the strat in this clip used to live in the flat below mine. He had a two year year-old son, an American wife, and an Airedale terrier and we shared a back garden. this was Mosley, Birmingham, church Road. B13. I was only eight or nine or 10 at the time. I think his name was Trevor. He was always very kind to me and would show me his guitars and amps, and I was already getting hooked on rock ‘n’ roll at the age. If anyone knows anything about His family, please let me know, all the best, God bless SG.

Saw them the other night. Steve is 80 now and still rocking the place.
