- I did promise we'd do another one of these again in 2022 ...so despite the impermanent space, join me as we get an updated look at my comic book collection! Tons of fun stuff to look at and apologies for the lack of brevity in the video!

Beautiful collection, very organized! It's a hassle to move though, I have stalled moving just because of my collection (and because I hate moving anyway), so I'll wait until the last possible momento to do it.
Ha, yeah I’ve already moved this collection once in the past year and a half and now I’m going to have to plan to move it again. Not fun indeed!

Haha, I think a lot of people do! Sometimes there’s just certain books that are super well-loved that don’t do it for me. WATX and Gillen’s Loki series are those for me 🫢.

I’ve got a playlist called “comic book analysis and examination” on my channel that covers some stories - maybe if one of those catches your interest you could start there/with that character. But, otherwise…when in doubt…just start with a character who you think has a cool design that speaks to ya 🙂!
@@OmnibusRyan will give it a watch. I like the Spider-Man Omni by Rodger stern, hob goblin cover. But to read that I think I need to get “the spectacular Spider-Man” vol 1 Omni by mantlo. That way I’d have issues 1-64 covered
@@PokeKon91 Definitely would help color the reading a little bit better but I also read Sterns first and then Spectacular and felt pretty comfortable still. Highly recommend Ultimate Spider-Man (Bendis) if you're a a fan of good ole Peter Parker!

Wicked collection mate! Obviously it shows ur more a marvel guy than DC. Very rare to see a collection without anything from batman, superman, etc but hey what matters is what u enjoy n have fun d most n actually reading what we buy at d end of d day. But speaking of d xmen, no 'uncanny x force' by remender??! Man, that is one great story n onmi! I guess both of us can say at least we have d infamous 'the filth' by morisson in our collection! I had a rough week after reading it, hahahaha. Peace n love from Malaysia, cheers!
Haha, I’m slowly picking up DC books but avoiding Batman and Superman for the time being so I can appreciate some of their more tertiary characters (like Animal Man, amazing book).
I USED to own Uncanny X-Force as like a fourteen year old who didn’t know anything about X-Men. I sold it then for an OOP price that was a lot of money to a teenager…but I regret it now! Hoping for another reprint!

Beautiful collection. I recommend getting Gotham Central and Grant Morrison’s Batman omnibuses.
Thank you! I’ll have to pick up GC, I heard that was really well-done. I actually tried Morrison’s Batman but, as much as I enjoy Morrison’s work, I found it predicated on A LOT of Batman lore I just don’t know as a new reader. Couldn’t really get into it because of that.
@@OmnibusRyan oh yeah I definitely get that, it’s a tricky story to get into even as a long-time fan, so I can imagine it’s only harder for new readers. I would say Scott Snyder’s Batman is a good jumping in point for the character, you’re not expected to have any real prior knowledge about the character (well except for the very basic basics lol).

As I dive into DC I’ve been looking for the characters I know less about - read Morrison’s Animal Man that was phenomenal, just finished up the Batwoman omnibus and REALLY loved that too, I’ve got Gotham Sirens and Doom Patrol up next and then I’ll have tog grab some more!
@@OmnibusRyan i feel like you’ll like Green Arrow by Kevin Smith, Mister Miracle by Tom King and Catwoman by Ed Brubaker and Darwyn Cooke. All phenomenal books. Good luck! You have great taste BTW, Batwoman by JH Williams is one of my personal favs.
Would you buy the OHC or the omnibus of Jonathon Hickmans X-Men in 2019?
The materials collected in them are not the same, so ideally both! But if I had to pick one then the OHC.

On Amazon actually! They’re from Better Homes & Gardens specifically. If it looks like their out of stock, check again in a few months. Sometimes they have supply issues. But they’re great shelves!
