- The Jpanther II is a tank that I have very fond memories of. It was the first official wargaming video I ever did and it really introduced me to a much wider UA-cam audience than I ever realised existed.
The surprise is I never went on and ground the line. I ran into other tanks and other projects and things just kind of rolled down...it was only very recently after being stunned at how much I liked that Jpanther at tier 7, that I was enticed to roll out the big brother at tier 8.
I'm very very happy I did and this video is to show the positives of this beastly little thing. Stick with it, learn to hull down and fly about at 55kmh and your going to be happy too!!

I just had a game in my JPanther II. It was an Ace Tanker with 5,400 damage a Radley Walters, a Kolobanov, a High Caliber, and a Tanker Sniper! I was very happy to get said game since it was my first Ace Tanker in the JPanther II!
I also would like to mention that the JPanther II is a lot like a SU-122-44, but with more alpha damage, is taller and has better gun handling. It's massively fun in my opinion!
one question for you bushka, do you think it would be overpowered if the jagpanther 2 had the full 20kmh reverse speed from the panther 2 opposed to the 12kmh it gets? because when I play this I often forget that it's so restricted moving backwards, especially since I'm grinding the panther 2 at the same time

It's already pretty overpowered...
Its main weakness when doing a damage trade is DPM and autoloaders, including the IS-3 Def since the Def can have a 50/50 chance to one clip any tier VIII TD (Excluding AT-15)

I killed a jag 8.8 by driving right past him, turned into him to stop him from turning at me, and pumped him full of love. Shows the major difference in mobility between the two lol.

Just bought the JgPanther 2. I'm running vents and rammer. Do I run GLD or Camo Net as my 3rd item.
The difference: you have a unlimited account, 99% of us do not. 50% of us do not even have a premium account and therefore this is not an affordable setup for this tank. People are just not able to do it! You need to consider what is going to work for the major percent of wotb players and what works for us, not for the group of 1%.

To get use to the Jtiger it will be better to play the ferdi because it is basically the same play style because they are both slow and have good armor but terrible from the side and rear. The only teaches you how to play the JTiger and later on the JPE100... They are support tanks not brawlers like the JPanther 2. So when you finish grinding the JPanther 2 and get the Jtiger you basically need to learn a different play style because the Jtiger is extremely slow and a massive target. The Ferdi is the same as the JTiger and JPE100.
You can play them all mate you'll pick it up. I would rather play this than the ferdi by a big margin

I would actually say it's quite ungerman. I'm used to german guns with good accuracy, but long aiming time. This one isn't ;)

I use Binos over Vents to spot for my own since now the spotting mechanics is starting to take play in Blitz

I couldn't get on with the jp2. I found it too delicate, too easy to die.
I should have pushed this point further I think. It's very tough when you get caught showing the lower part of the tank

Ferdi, my first tier 8 TD. Worst WN8 of all my tanks. First tank I rage sold. Well at least you don't have to do the stock grind. That's the big issue I think Never even ground to the top gun, just the second engine and it was still so bloody bad I just got discouraged seeing the amount of exp I was still missing to get that to a half decent state. Luckily just a week or so after I rage sold it the JP2 was released lol, man was I happy.
I don't think its a bad tank when fully upgraded, but it just gets eclipsed by its brother.

Bushka, Thank-you soo much for the review! I really, really needed that. P.S since you enjoyed the Jpanther so much, you should play a couple of games in the T-25 At, It's a lot like the Jpanther but feels a lot faster and has an easier time climbing things. Please tell me what you think of it.
there is nothing special about this tank, it's just a more mobile Ferdy with weak armor unless hull-down

I have MUCH success in this JP2 also. My favorite tier 8. For some reason I don't see them much on the battlefield. The top gun is just amazing.
im defcon12345 from EU i ve got the 2nd best amount of damage ever done in jp2 its 6902 dmg record is about 6980

The biggest issue with this tank is that is not competitive unless you have the final gun. The ammo for the second gun costs more than you can earn with the damage it deals, and the first gun has lackluster alpha. The final gun has healthy pen, alpha, and only costs a little more than the 105mm shells of the second gun. Use vents, gun rammer, and gun laying drive, as the poor gun traverse arch makes camo net useless.
Jp done, jp2 done, ferdi remaining.

Bushka, I have this td now, it's phenomenal, and I've discovered it's great for ramming, in worst case scenario or if you need to steal a kill as you're reloading.
Man, I miss this tank so much. I always enjoy using the tank, averaging ~1.8k dmg

This is one of my favourite tanks, far better than that piece of shit the Jagdtiger. Easily one of the best tanks in the game.
I sold the Jagdtiger because you get nothing but gold fired at you, can't side scrape as a result because you have eighty millimetres of side armour and every game I'd fire seven thousand damage of perfectly aimed shots and come out with about eighteen hundred damage. I don't know if I can ever make my self drive that piece of crap again.
TL;DR this is the highlight of the line, and one of the highlights of the game.

Spooky Skeleton You don't fire a median of fourteen of shots per game if you're not using a tank right. RNG is a bitch, and I hate the tank as a result of it. I drove the tank nearly perfectly and couldn't penetrate the side of an RU-251 with it.
Spooky Skeleton Spooky, you ever bounced with a tier ten TD off the side off the completely flat side of a Russian medium? That's not meant to happen either, but it does. You don't hit below the armour, it just sorta gets eaten. Also, you can't penetrate the side of many low profile tanks with HE easily because they have a lot of their side covered by tracks and drive wheel. Some times RNG just decides that you're going to lose no matter what you do. That was my experience in the Jagdtiger. Granted, I was only on 75% crew training, but I should have had at least 2.4k average in it but for RNG being, well, random.
+Derploop but... the lagd got a buff. im pretty sure its good. high dpm now. just go and shoot!

I've ammo rack locations of many tier 8-10 tanks memorised, I'm fairly sure I know the locations of every weak spot on every tank, I know how to side scrape, read the flow of the game, use armour angling effectively, detrack when ever possible. The two players who I've ever met in game who are obviously better than me are better because they're more willing to take hits for their team mates if they realise that they're decent players. I can all but guarantee that you're not a better player than me.

It can snipe, scout if it needs to, can wolf pack with mediums.
Jagdpanther II, more mobile, and angled "bridge" (forgot term) where the gun is placed is thicker than the Ferdinand, I may be biased, but t if you want to play like a sniping medium, it's the tank, not to say the Ferdinand is bad, based on stats.
