What a great idea, possibly the best build for a circular saw track - adding the second holding track is so simple but effective… 👏🏻
    Definitely worth a sub, thank you… ✅

I suggest placing two playing cards between your saw table and the guide lumber. That will give you enough room to allow your saw to move without binding.

Absolutely spot-on was thinking about buying a metal one. Makita track saw blade for my battery operated. Makita circular saw but like you say I only use it once in awhile so I’m gonna have a go at making this myself. Thank you very much for all the info is brilliant, good video

It's really easy to make, and not only does the track saw guide ensure you cut straight, it also prevents any tear out of the material you are cutting. Thanks for your comment 👍

A nice solution. I think that I might have used a slightly smaller hole saw or forstner bit (but it depends what you've got to hand) and also put holes at the 1/4 points so that you can get two holes on the the line on shorter cuts like taking a bit off the bottom of a door.

I was considering using a 20mm holesaw, but I thought it was too small. However, I think it would have been fine. Thanks for your comment 👍

Could I ask a quick question. I noticed the Makita chop saw in your video.. what size is it? I’m a keen competent DIYer and I’m looking to invest I a new saw for making gates ect.. I can’t seem to decided between the 12” or 10”.

Possible hinge Fixing! also a smaller version for 60 cm wood slat panel to make it more manageable 👍
