Metaphysics is a branch of philosophy that explores fundamental questions about reality, existence, and the nature of being. It delves into abstract concepts that go beyond the physical world, investigating the nature of existence, reality, time, space, causation, identity, and the relationship between mind and matter.
The term "metaphysics" originated from the works of Aristotle, where his writings on the subject were placed after his writings on physics, hence "meta" (after or beyond) "physics." However, metaphysics isn't strictly about what lies beyond the physical world in the way we might understand the term "supernatural"; it's more about exploring the fundamental nature of reality, often in a speculative and abstract manner.

I will have to research more on ontology, primarily because I would like to see examples of it used in ideas, just so I understand it better. This is so because the current presentation is a little abstract for me to understand fully. Wonderful video though, thank you very much!

Can you give examples of mono-categorical ontologies as well polycategorical and where they have been applied in the past. Great lesson 👍
