Thank you! Macon is busy, but not all of the lines that lead to town. I'd say, the busiest north of Brosnan Yard is the Atlanta South District (Macon-Atlanta) and in the south the Macon District (Macon-Valdosta).
Over the time I have been observing your videos, you seem to always find a moment to swoop in with your zoom, and perform your own inspection of the rails, ties, and rail bed. In this video, your onscreen text message, is pretty specific. And, you are absolutely accurate with your observation. Do you ever contact the railroad with your findings? It seems to me, that the roadbed's lack of proper condition, could be a real safety hazard to everyone concerned. Yes, I'm aware, the defect detector, only checks the cars as they pass over the loop, but there doesn't seem to be anything but a visual or rolling machine for producing an accurate inspection of the rail-bed. As the saying goes, once the wheels come off, the derailment has already occurred. Also, there is the possibility of loss of life of railway employees and other area residents and or passerby's.
I haven't contacted anyone; I wouldn't even know who to address the issues to. Furthermore, the railroads have their track inspectors out there almost every day and, overall, we have to leave it to their judgment what they still consider a safe condition and what not. I absolutely agree with what you say and that's why I document it as I see it. I'm sure there are railroad employees who watch these videos and they should know better who is responsible in their companies for keeping the track maintained.
+FUEL__83_Jr _ I probably wouldn't just go there for this district because it's not overly busy and I live too far away from it anyway. However, should I be in the area I would certainly like to explore it.
THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO. I LISTEN TO PARTS OF THIS WITH MY BOSE HEAD PHONES. Funny I was able to hear some chickens making some noise when the first rock train went by. I could hear the sounds of the engines really popped it was like being there. Thanks again for your work I appreciate it very much. If you ever decide to ask for donations I will do my best to contribute.
That's awesome that you can really make the best of the sound. It's worth it! I know, the animals contribute their own voice at times, which is quite funny. Thank you for your continued interest. I greatly appreciate your offer, but haven't yet really thought about fan funding.
1 time there was a problem right after the flood of 94 here and they had to divert 2 coal trains, they ended up making them into 1(both going to the same plant)..had 12 engines 4 infront 4 midway and 4 in the end......thing was almost thru warner robins and the tail was still in macon.....think longest train ever in this area roughly 2 and half miles long .talk about a looooong wait at the crossings.
So I'm curious. Do you make money on these videos and if so, how much? I live right along tracks, I could get videos like this without even leaving my house.
It’s nice to see CSX and NS railroad videos......I just relocated from So. Cal and we only had UP there!
Lol, I know. It's always nice to see something different. The funny thing is that last year I extra traveled to SoCal to watch UP and BNSF :)
I always enjoy the Macon videos. Your next tour of duty should be a week long hiatus at Tillman and Inman. I love yard action plus the switching.
It's Tilford and Inman :) I just don't think I'd like to hang out in this area for too long...
Nice catch of the SD40E. Love ya!
@ 24:35ish, the trailing UP engine is a menace to the ozone layer. Good stuff. Keep it going!
+David Barnett Thank you, there'll be more.
Man, that looks like a hefty climb on that line.
*Nice Well Done Cheers And Keep Up The Good Work*
Thanks, will do!

Thank you! Macon is busy, but not all of the lines that lead to town. I'd say, the busiest north of Brosnan Yard is the Atlanta South District (Macon-Atlanta) and in the south the Macon District (Macon-Valdosta).

Great video!
Thanks!
Nice catch. My dream job
Thanks! Live your dream...
great video!!
+Mike Snow Thank you!
Are the NS C44-9W units more common on the Norfolk Southern railway?
They were very common on NS. Many are currently rebuilt into the AC44C6M type with AC instead of DC traction.
nice diversity of power.i agree, track needs work on it badly..poor drainage, worn ties.enjoyed the video as always.
Thank you!
horn at 6:43 is turned backwards
Just thought I would throw that out just in case you might go in that direction about donating. Thanks for your videos
Thank you very much. I'm glad you like them. Just keep watching :)
awesome video very nice 😊
Nice, thank you :)
Rail Angel You're very pretty & cute
I plan to film the CP the Kansas City Southern and Canadian National railway
You ever plan on making a trip to the Norfolk Southern Brunswick District anytime.
+FUEL__83_Jr _ I probably wouldn't just go there for this district because it's not overly busy and I live too far away from it anyway. However, should I be in the area I would certainly like to explore it.
mbmars01 I can go railfanning anytime I want. I live in the greater Chicago region.

I was down in downtown Macon today and saw several coal trains.
Very nice, although coal trains are not that typical for Macon. Were those BNSF's Scherer trains?
have you seen the terminal station there it's open for tours on Mondays I think. btw did you have to get permission to film here
+Railroad,Preserver,2000 I haven't been inside the terminal station and don't know of any tours. No permission necessary.
nice video
at 11:17 whats that road called i may drive down there oneday and rail fann there and i may contact you to rail fann with me if you want to
Great job Man! You live near Atlanta too?
Thanks! That's right.
Ok cool
What subdivision is this?
There are 6 subdivisions that meet in Macon: Atlanta South, Albany, Valdosta, Griffin, Savannah, Brunswick.
mbmars you should railfan the pittsburgh line around conway yard the have great trains
+Jay Mack I'm sure it's a great area for railfanning, but unfortunately not close to where I live.
Good CSX train
Well shoot ,this is only about a 20 minute drive from my house....lol.
Nice, so you're lucky to live that close to a hotspot of rail action in Georgia!
Wow, this is just insane. I would have loved to see this monster.
Does Amtrak use this line?
+Victor “MetraBNSFLine” Cyunczyk No, Amtrak uses NS's Piedmont line which is north of the Abbeville Sub.
Awesome
Thanks!
very nice macon
Yep, thanks.
you got git closer to the hospital in macon
mbars01 is there any hotels there close to the track there??
There are plenty of hotels relatively close to tracks in Macon.
Jordan Wilkison i
Looks like someone kept seeing NS ACes.
+Victor “MetraBNSFLine” Cyunczyk Lol. There are plenty of them.
and also like the videos
+Jay Mack Cool, thanks!
23:28 ????????????????????
hi rail angel nice to meet you.
you ever see any bums or hobos on the trains you're filming ??
I saw one. He’s in one of the early Abbeville Sub videos but I don’t remember which.
So I'm curious. Do you make money on these videos and if so, how much? I live right along tracks, I could get videos like this without even leaving my house.
