Man, you absolutely made my day. I’ve been trying to get my Mac into any kind of VPN network here in China, since it’s useless without VPN. Astrill VPN is one of the few who work in China, but they don’t offer software for M1 Mac and iOS 13, so no way. Finally, with your solution I was able to use an old Android phone as router and send traffic through the VPN working on that phone. Super happy. This absolutely saved my day - thank you so much!

It may not work with every vpn, at least with their default settings. For me it worked with Adguard vpn, didn't with Notvpn
