Thanks for the great comparison vlog. We had a cousin's reunion 2 years ago at Surfside and now I'm doing a solo trip to Universal and Dockside for Valentine's Day. I think I am preferring Dockside so far because of more selection of food areas. I probably won't be utilizing the pools as I will be spending my day and night in the parks. Thankfully I am a Florida resident and brand new universal passholder, so I got a great 40% discount paying only $83 for my poolside room at Dockside. Incredible deal! I also subscribed to your UA-cam channel for further good news and updates. I can't wait for Epic universe to open. Have a great day!
I've only stayed at Dockside but was not a fan. Far too busy, everywhere felt stressful due to the massive size of the hotel. We queued for absolutely everything, check in, food, bus, elevators! Aventura was a way more enjoyable experience but was a bit more 💵
Looking at the pictures from both hotel's Fitness Centers, it looks like Surfside has a few more machines and benches. Is that correct? Did you get the chance to take a look at them? Thanks!
After staying at both, the biggest difference for my family is that buses run much faster at Dockside both to and from the parks due to buses filling up much faster.
That’s makes sense, I guess I usually go when it’s slower and I have actually had times when we shared busses so it’s hit or miss it seems. Appreciate you checking out our video!
Great video, but I noticed in your room tour that your room had a stand-alone shower. Do you know what category of room is it to ensure the stand-alone shower as opposed to the tub/shower combo? I tried asking the hotel and they had no idea what I was talking about. They're trying to put me into an accessible room, which I don't need or want (they kinda gross me out a little). I do however need a stand-alone shower as my mom has some slight balance issues so getting into the tub can be hazardous for her, especially without grab bars. Thank you!!

The accessible rooms do have accessible showers (walk in)
Dockside.
