I know a guy who used a Helinox chair on the beach and turtled because the sand gave way. Lesson learned: use the ground sheet thing so you don't become a turtle on the beach.
Hey Mikey, I really like your favorite pieces of kit for travels. Especially the "Ambivalent" talking points. The chair part was priceless. Cheers, Mate.
That chair is a nightmare. Love my GCI Outdoor Xpress Directors Chair. As far as I can tell, the Frontrunner chair is a rebranded version for more money. This thing would fit in that box too. About the form factor of a laptop. Shoulder strap. My family fights over it. It’s also regular chair height.
I just use a kids chair from rei. Fits me just fine at 5'8", cost 25 bucks, and packs down the same size as the helinox hehe - it even comes with a cup holder and pocket!
The old boot adage is about leather soled boots and once they break in they will be more comfy than anything. Taking about PNW boot companies like Nicks or Truman
Hey there, so Kovea makes Snow Peak and GSR and they make the GasOne GS-8300 under there own brand which is basically the same stove for only $49 If someone is looking for a more budget friendly option. (and I have that same chair, love it ;) )
@@Dmax_overland I call it an extremely overpriced piece of kit. The idea that you need a $250 + cargo box is ludicrous. And this is exactly the problem in the "overland" community. The idea that if it can be used for "overlanding" then we must pay through the nose is absurd. And yet the myth persists. I've been using either Plano or Iris lockable storage containers for years at a fraction of the cost of these Zarges containers. Your mileage will vary though!
Michael ima havta see u doing sun back packing to back your Dannier claim. Gas brake gas ain’t gonna cut it. My Solomon’s get thrashed in a couple of seasons.
Okay, I understand, this was satire, but useful information. Wonder what you would do if one day you woke up inside an IKEA store and the only way out was to assemble various furniture for the map showing the way out.

@@OverlandBound I've been using SatPaq / Higher Ground for the last 4 years. $55 / Year for 150 messages a year. Never run over and have only had one issue with line of site when obscured by trees in the Sierra's. Move to a less obscured area and had no issues. Even used it in Europe a few times. Cheap insurance IMHO
The chair bit was EPIC. I'd pay $3.96 for the show. LOL Thanks Michael.

Thanks for sharing this video. I kinda enjoy Gear videos.
Danner boots and Darn Tough socks are the ultimate combo.

Have the same exact pair of boots...best boots iver ever owned.
I have a chair like that. I love it, but it is hard to open. Super comfortable and compact.
👍👍 looks like you should oil your boots, it will keep the leather from cracking.
They are split-leather, so oil seems odd. Do you oil split leather? Thanks!
Yep, those chairs…. But so packable and ideal. Great video Mr Michael!

Great video, thanks for the tips, will try to find that chair here in Europe. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱❤️🇺🇸
I brought the snopeak when you did, works great
😂😂😂 that shoe rack was giving you a hard time
I love my Helinox Savanna chairs, they live in the boot of our car. The only thing I hate about them is the price.

Were those Chevaps in the pan with the stove?? 😋
This may sound silly what do you call the metal storage your pulling the gear out of? Love the videos
Not at all - those are Zarges Cases: store.overlandbound.com/search?q=zarges

Starve
I have inspected the snow peak stove that you have recommended and was mildly mortified by the retail price of this item.
If that one got ya - check out the Helinox! o_O
You misspelled Snow peak!!😁
Too bad I went to the dark side and bought a travel trailer last year. Now I have it all and the kitchen sink. 🤣. OB 6811
Congrats!
Welcome back from doing silent films...lol
Hahaha
The first gadget is really an at4
Corrie…. I think it’s time to air him out. He’s making videos about boots.
:D
